COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In this version HvedeGoop has been barrel aged in Malaga wine barrels. Malaga wine is a variant of Sherry, which you clearly can sense in this very complex beer. Rare and delicious.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep ruby red colored beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma is boozy, lots of vineous characters, some oak, red fruits, wheaty notes. Flavor is deep and complex, lots of barrel notes going on, lots of red fruits, the booze is fading a bit to the background. The carbonation is soft and easy, aftertaste is very sweet and fruity, also a bit of booze in the background. Very decent stuff, but not as impressive as the other goops.

Bottle @ Lingua tasting, thanks to Ian. Pours a hazy murky pond brown, with a good-looking off-white head and lacing. Aroma of caramel toffee, hopping, and a sherry booze note. Flavour is a nice sweet malt, nutty, some warmth from the sherry more than a dominant flavour note, bright bitterness in line with a brown ale. Has a good airy feel, full yet lively on the palate, before drying out at the finish, leaving some tannins. Tasty and enjoyable.

375ml shared by Ian, it's a dense reddish brown pour in my snifter with a rich peach and plum with a certain amount of heat in the aroma. Medium to full bodied with lots of heat and a semi-dry finish. The taste is candied oranges, plums, oaky tannic with caramel taffee. Kind of boozy but nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very brown reddish color. Rich sweet malty nose. Cherries, milk chocolate and apricots in the nose. Heavy full body. Lots of apricots in the mouth with sherry. Very interesting finish that tastes like sherry and oak. Very dry.

Dark brown, murky body, thick tan head. Sweet aroma, some malts but mostly you get the wine, raisins and such. Somewhat sour taste, yeasty, it’s almost like red wine with some carbonation. Soft mouthfeel, some bubbles but not too heavy. It’s an alright barley wine.

Pours dark amber with a small head. Nose shows sweet caramel and figs, sultanas and sherry notes. Flavours include sultanas, fortified wine, caramel and oxidised sherry notes. Carbonation seems a bit full on for the flavours.

From a bottle at the Bevog 2nd anniversary. Pours a clear amber color, topped with a rather small off-white head. Biscuity aroma, some resin notes as well with a fruity backbone. Strong alcohol presence. Taste a bit resiny with a decent hoppy bitterness. Not a bad one, a bit strong, but nothing really amazing.
