Bottle purchase in Cedar Rapids. Pours a golden orange. Cloudy with a soft effervescence. Massive white foamy head that open up slowly. Excellent aroma. Citrusy hops. The mango and passionfruit come through a little although the hops are features. The fruit gives the aroma a clean dimension. Love it. The taste is mild by American Pale Ale standards. Somewhat like a hoppy session saison. Passionfruit mutes the malt. Finish is somewhat dry. Soft almost watery mouthfeel. This is not a problem unless you really want to bracket this beer with the pale ales. It seems to me more like a hybrid, and so I tend to be more forgiving. No hint of alcohol in taste or aroma although we are getting into higher values. So whats not to like about this beer? Not much, unless you were expecting something else.

Bottle. Teku. Amber, medium hazy with medium, semi-thick, white head. Moderate head retention and moderate lacing. Aroma is lightly to medium hoppy (mango, passion fruit) and citrus notes (oranges), nicely balanced with moderate malty profile (mainly ready and biscuity). Taste is regular close to medium bitter, broken by light semi-sweet malty accents. Light to medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, finish is lightly bitter and lightly hoppy (tropical fruits). In general quite average APA, highly drinkable not so boring.

ALIBALI (969) - Kiel, GERMANY - NOV 24, 2016

Bottle. Unfortunately drunk well beyond its best before date which obviously subdued the hops. Deep gold colour, with a frothy dirty cream head. Aromas of caramel malt, subdued tropical fruits and floral hops, with a savoury element. subdued tropical fruit, yet still sufficiently bitter, with background caramel malts and an interesting salt and sourness element. Wish Id had this beer fresh, I think I would have really enjoyed it.

0,33L bottle at the 65 Peel St. Taproom, Hong Kong Appearance: Pours a hazy deep orange colour with thin to medium white head which doesnt last very long. Aroma: Massive and complex hops aroma of tropical fruits such as lychee, mango, peach and passion fruit, with some subtle resin and malty notes at the background. Taste: Medium tropical fruits and honey sweetness with mild tartness and sourness. The bitterness is very light. Palate: Light to medium body. Dry, crisp finish with citrus and grapefruit aftertaste. The texture is a bit watery though. Overall: Excellent, got tons of fresh tropical fruit aroma. The aroma is so strong and amazing that it still pops up in my head when I am writing this review. It is a surprisingly delicious and drinkable session APA. Definitely going to get another one in the future.
