Bottle. Semi clear and amber coloured with a medium sized head. Uhm bret... Am hops and bret. Thank you. So so good. Actually goeas really good together. Yum! pintbypint (3770) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 6, 2009
750ml brown bottle, corked. Cloudy orange/amber coloured with a solid, tall creamy head. Some soapy lacing. Aroma has some orange-like sweetness up front, some hemp notes, brett. Malt has some nutty qualities, earthy, woody, grapefruit and floral hop flavours. Medium bitter finish, lasting grapefruit hops aftertaste. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Great mix of bitterness and brett, which to me equals a dangerously drinkable, and no sign of the 8% alcohol. TheHulk (486) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 27, 2009
I get a lot of strong acidic hops in the nose, I like just a bit (or tons and tons!) more cascade though. Creamy dark brown looking, it somehow manages to be light and clear around the edges and dark and smokey looking in the middle. Great lacing. Strong, strong hop flavour, only later on does the malt and belgan yeast really set in. So many things going on on paper, its almost overload in your mouth. Well balanced for so many extreme flavours. beerbrat99 (132) - Shanghai, CHINA - MAY 11, 2013
Pours lovely from the bottle with a light orange hue. Nice floral aroma with some underlying notes of tartnesss. Refreshing to drink!

If Mikkeller has an underrated beer this would be it. This beer is the perfect execution of Belgian ale with Brett. The caramel/candy flavor balances perfectly against the peach/mango hop flavours, with the Brett slicing right through. A go-to beer for me, and by FAR the most fairly-priced Mikkeller beer relative to quality. I hope it stays that way! VDuquerroux (1824) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - JUL 16, 2017
Bottle, 11.2 fl.oz. Home. A sparkling mahogany amber clear beer with a big off-white foamy head ; good retention and lacing. Citrus, resin, herb, tropical fruits, "cider". Medium dry bitter, light warming, light sweet, light acid, light fresh. Medium body, light to medium texture, average good carbonation, dry warming acid finish. Overall, delicious, such a strong exotic Orval ; maybe slightly too strong after all... fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 12, 2009

Light amber color; big creamy head. Wonderful aroma, hoppy, creamy, with delicate fruits (peaches, mango, sweet oranges). Medium body strength, but quite round mouthfeel, with very good, sweetish toffee flavor, perfectly complemented by the fruity hops. The final is well balanced as well, less powerful than the flavor, maybe missing some sweetness for my taste; in the end there is an aftertaste of Belgian yeast. Excellent beer.
Rating #1100!! And appropriate, considering it’s also Memorial Day! Anyway, pours a cloudy brown/orange with a thick off-white head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruits and floral hops. Smells like an IPA, an awesome IPA at that! Flavor is not a fruity but has a nice bitter finish. Definitely quite hoppy with some sweet caramel malt. Nothing Belgian about this one to me. This is a great beer--I really enjoyed this one!

Superb hop aroma. Golden color with a small white head. Very nice balanced body with strong hop flavors. Very nice and balanced hop and bitter palate. Very nice.
