Cask. Jet black with a VERY slight ruby. Thick, almost immobile, tan head. Coffee, some powdered chocolate, perfume and charcoal on the nose. Once drinking, hit with the fireplace/charcoal, then comes the chocolate, followed with a hit of something bitter - maybe grapefruits? - then it rests in the mouth as a bitter coffee. Interesting and lush. Beersiveknown (5284) - NORTHERN IRELAND - MAY 22, 2012

Bottle at ACBF 2011. Pours dark brown with a filmy, tan head. Lots of coffee beans in the nose and flavor. Real stouty, this one. Some bitterness and mocha. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Light dry finish, lingering mocha. Highly enjoyable stuff. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 29, 2011
On tap at Mikkeller Bar. A dark brown beer, almost clear, with a small, off-white to beige head. Roasted nose with some coffee and chocolate, pine and resiny hops too. The flavor is roasted, in a coffee-like way, with roasted malts, citrus and some pine cones. A nice hoppy bitterness all the way, with roasted malts in the finish. Dry, medium to full body. A nice one, although a bit ordinary. 110526 larsniclas (7075) - Billdal, SWEDEN - SEP 27, 2011
