On tap at Biero. Exceptional beer, with a nice hop balance. Aromas of coffee, caramel, chocolate, and liquorice. Taste is sweet and bitter, with very long length. Palate is silky, and full bodied. Black, with a frothy off-white head. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 6, 2011
A Sim rate (on tap at the Craft): Aroma just screams coffee. Yes, I know that sounds obvious but it really is as coffee as you can imagine. Flavour mirrors more of the same. Richer and more bitter than the aroma. It hits that part of your tongue rarely used. Serious bitterness. I like it more than beer geek and I am a real fan of beer geek. Mmm...this truly should be a beer geek’s first beverage of the day. HogTownHarry (6834) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - AUG 23, 2011
August 10, 2011 - draught at Craft Beer Co. Thick-looking brown-black with a good-looking light brown creamy/foamy head. Lovely nutty aroma, coffee with cream, maybe sweet nougat, some alcohol, background fresh light herbal bitterness. Taste is stunning - fresh strong coffee, nutmeat and nutshell, dark truffle chocolate, definitely some alcohol, but the lushness and potential sweetness are each perfectly off-set by a redolent herbal bitterness - the end result is balanced perfectly and I can’t see how I would improve this. Thick, creamy mouthfeel, mild airy carbonation, and not a hint of real adicity on the palate - lovely, lovely not over-the-top brew, a definite 4+ IMHO. saxo (18301) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 3, 2011
