Chocolate 70% dark fruits, vanilla. Flavours of sweet milk chocolate, rum, sweet cake and toast, nice. Finish is sweet. Reminds me of a birthday chocolate cake!

A-- Cork came out clean and no popping noise. Flat. Oh great. Onward we press. Poured a dark murky brownish black. Touches of ruby here and there. A few gurgles of bubbles but no trace of carbonation. Bummer
S-- Chocolate, soft coffee, licorice and dark fruits. Good nose for flat and has held up very well.
T-- Follows the nose but some big gaps due to lack of carbonation. Coffee was there but had faded a lot. Honestly in its prime this must have been very good.
M-- Smooth body. Medium body, ummm no carbonation. Hints of chocolate and coffee finish. ABV well hidden and can tell this was well made as the body was still workable for the age and lack of carbonation. Carbonation would have just lifted this well.
O-- Probably was a really good beer and a good effort from Mikkeller but that is how things go sometimes. Glad to try and was was there was good. Carbonation would have lifted this to a much higher score. lortsker (332) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 9, 2012
Bottle thanks Phredrik! pours black with a longlasting beige head. Aroma: quite grassy, dusty, some salty savory notes, chocolate, coffee, dried fruits, plums, figs, sweet caramel, high malty, faint vanilla, roasted, sweet liquorice, slight tobacco, Taste: low carbonation, a bit more lightbodied than I expected, very balanced, earthy and savory, grassy, dry, tingly, milk chocolate, chocolate, creamy, roasted coffee, caramel sweetness, dried fruits, very easy approachable! 750mL c&c thanks to phredrik. Deeper mahogany pour with red highlights. Larger, thick, fizzier tan head. Sweeter green and red apple nose. Mild savory unami nose. Evident acetaldehyde. No lacing really. Quick sudsy retention. Taste is tangy, Milky, creamy, a bit spoiled. Small ash. Lactic oddities and some spiked dairy character.

Bottle courtesy of phredrik, thanks! Almost black, thick brown head. Aroma of my grandmother’s powder make-up, with a bit of chocolate. Taste is very floral, with sweet milk chocolate powder. Very nice.

Black color, flat. Aroma of roasted malt, quite dusty. Unusual mix: dust, roasted malts and sweetness; correct bitterness. No interesting qualities; pleasant because sweet, but also unappreciated dusty coffee.
bottle thanks to bu11zeye. poured black/brown with a nice head that laced the glass. aroma was coffee, chocolate, and dark roast. flavor was pretty much the same plus a nice bitter. body was light and fizzy. kappldav123 (6100) - GERMANY - SEP 5, 2011
Thanks to yespr for that one. Bottle looks really interesting. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Roasty-dry aroma. Starts strong, modest sweet and a bit fruity. Gets stronger, a bit scratchy with notes of vanilla. Finish dry, scratchy, complex. Interesting beer! thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 14, 2011
(750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) near black, coats the glass well with excellent lacing. Nose is very smoky, fudge, a bit of vanilla and raisins too. Taste is very smoky, dry cocoa, rich, thick body with an excellent palate linger. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUN 30, 2011
