UPDATED: AUG 29, 2013 On tap at Mikkeller. It pour a deep mahogany brown & had a malty caramel aroma. The mouthfeel was slick, almost oily while the flavor was boozy, sweet but counterbalanced by hops. I felt the nice sweetness wasn’t all that cloying. A good barley wine which would probably benefit from aging. KyotoLefty (10265) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 28, 2013

Finish is sweet and tiny bitter with caramel, toffee, sweet dark bread, lemon zest, alcohol, glue and hints of butterscotch. Not to my liking at all. tkrjukoff (4335) - SWEDEN - AUG 18, 2013

(Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen, 11 July 2013) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with red fruit, blood orange, grapefruit and massive amounts of resinous, citric hops. A touch of alcohol shining through as well. Malty, fruity taste with notes of grapefruit, blood orange, resin, caramel and a powerful finish with a solid resinous, piney bitterness and a warming glow of alcohol. Full body, quite chewy, fairly sweet. The solid, sweetish malt character fairly well balances the impressive hop presence. Very nice. Borup (14551) - Albertslund, DENMARK - JUL 25, 2013
