Clear dark black color with a large, creamy to frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, raosted, tart, peat, fruity - raspberry. Flavor is heavy sweet, moderate acidic and light to moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is watery - oily, carbonation is soft. It did not work for me as expected, like sitting between two chairs ...
Tap at Copenhagen Beerfestival 09. Sourish raspberry, roasted malty. Quite tart taste, raspberry. Malty background. Bitter, sour and dry. Strange combination, but i liked it. fiulijn (20516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 4, 2009
Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2009tarjei (1954) - Bryne, NORWAY - JUL 19, 2009
Black color, small creamy head. Impressive aroma, very creamy, it surely reminds me the Black Hole. Strong body, a bit too much roasted malt for me, and definitively too dusty. I’m also not ready for the tart touch. Light raspberry note.
Tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2009. Black color, lovely tan head. Aroma is raspberry and sourness, but also rasted malt, coffee and hints of smoke. Flavor is raspberry, with coffee and roasted malt. A complex beer with a kind of raw edge. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 22, 2009
On tap at Copenhagen Beerfestival. A gorgeous looking beer, with a black body and a lasting, creamy, tan head. The aroma is roasted and coffee-ish in the background, with raspberry and sourness up front. The flavor is too much on the raspberry side, leaving the roasted malts, coffee and chocolate in the background. Full-bodied and tart, almost palate cleansing. A nice beer indeed, but less raspberries would probably do the trick for my palate. (090515) OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 19, 2009

Øldage 2009. A dense brown colored head fading to ring of foam over a pitch black body. Aroma is very nice; a fresh raspberry scent paired with coffee, chocolate and lightly roasted dark malts. Taste is balanced mix of fresh, acidulous raspberries and a rounded flavor from the roasted dark malts. Coffee and chocolate in the flavor as well. Well-bodied and smooth. Still very fresh and quenching. Excellent stuff.
