"Nicer barrel treatment than the rum Santas Little Helper. Strong bourbon, but not overbearing. Though it’s still sweet leaning, the roastiness in the original beer (a strong point) still shines through. About even with the base, depending on your mood, so really not going to be worth the extra coin again." NikkTwist (3336) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 15, 2014
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2014 Finding this aged bottle in March 2014 at Eulogy. Opaque pour with an impressive khaki head. A tremendous full ashy stout that feels ridiculously smooth. Cigarette burnt leather jacket. Perfected espresso. Bourbon notes in the nose. Burnt vanilla toast. Plum pudding. Chocolate mousse. Truffles. Dark cinnamon. Charcoal grill. Highly carbonated fizzy body. Extraordinary. Great stuff! Gorm (1899) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 6, 2014
Godt jobba! Import.

Bottle opened by Matt. Ruby brown with a creamy brown head. Lots of bourbon with a nice holiday spice, vanilla, some oak, bit of yeast. Moderate body and carbonation, sweet, hint of tang, dry, buttery on finish with a musty malt ending. jd543 (428) - SCOTLAND - NOV 13, 2013
Black with a thin-medium milk chocolate head. Aroma is pretty alcoholic, bourbon, roast malt, chocolate, a little coffee. Taste is light sweet with a medium duration. Oily texture, smooth, with a little bourbon kick at the end. Nice. mjs (7674) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 19, 2013
(Keg at OlutExpo 2013) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brow. Aroma had wood, vanilla and vineousness. Palate was dry and full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were vanilla, wood, roasted malts, vineousness and bitterness. Aftertaste had wood and vineousness. The beer had disappeared almost completely and the what was left was wood and burntness. Not good. VastActiv (7582) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 19, 2013
