Bottle thanks to Dutchdrebus. Pitch black opaque color, small to medium sized light brown head that leaves a fine lacing. Strong aroma of bourbon barrel aging, very distict smell of bourbon and wood. Taste lightly malts, wood, bourbon, lightly sweet and a bit dry aftertaste. A bit thin texture, warming mouthfeel. DutchDrebus (6048) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUL 5, 2012

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. This is my 100th Mikkeller rating.
The beer pours a black color with a tan head. The aroma is full of chocolate and roasted malt, but it also features a hint of oak and some bourbon whiskey notes. The flavor is heavier on the barrel-aged notes. I get a lot of oak and bourbon, as well as some chocolate and roasted malt. Thick mouthfeel and low carbonation. Bottle. Pour Is deep brown with a very large brown head. Aroma is smooth and creamy roasted malt with notes of cocoa, coffee, faint spice, toffee, and faint vanilla. Flavor is rosted malt with hints of coffee, faint holiday spice and a faint musty note. Not too much bourbon present. It’s like a good standard porter with a hint of spice and a hint of sweetness. cubs (10651) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 14, 2012
Bottle in AZ. Cloudy, deep brown appearance with a big dark brown head and some lacing. Slightly peaty whiskey, woody, roasty, chocolate malty, slightly burnt, light anise aroma. Rich dark chocolate, fairly fruity, plum, fig, oaky, a little burnt, toffee, a bit smoky, light whiskey flavor with more whiskey on the warming finish. Not bad. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 5, 2012

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Jet black pour with a medium, very dense khaki head. No lacing. Insane amount of herbal notes mingle on the nose. Bitter chocolate and light bourbon tones come and go with prominence to the green herbal tones. Dark chocolate is at the back in the taste throughout. The green and grassy herbal tones are all about but they mix well with the spicy bourbon notes. Comes together fairly well. A few rough edges but works. Very nice and unique
