A - Dark brown-black with a finger of frothy chocolate-khaki head. Fades normal.
S - Roasted dark chocolate malts, oak, vanilla, Bourbon, roasted coffee, black licorice, dark fruits, candi sugar, and some booze.
T - Sweet dark chocolate and caramel malts, Bourbon, vanilla, oak, dark fruits, roasted coffee, black licorice, citrus and earthy hops, candi sugar, smoke, and some booze.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth with a sweet and warming finish.
D - Nicely balanced Barrel Aged Baltic Porter. Great complexity and depth added by the Bourbon barrels.

Bottle. Cloudy dark brown body with a tanned head. Aroma is roasty with chunks of vanilla, wood and boozy bourbon. Taste is bittersweet, toffee, oak, mild fruity, warm alcohol in finish. Quite nice.

Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is rich and sweet, dark sugar, sweet licorice, soy sauce, dark malts, mild bourbon, grass, vanilla, oak, dark fruits, salty caramel. Taste is sour-ish burnt, dark malts, ashtray, burnt sour coffee, grass, oak, minerals, bourbon, paper. Medium bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.
Bottle from 2009. Pours a dark brown, looking black in the glass. Head is medium, fully diminishing. Aroma is still pretty intense. Loads of roast and bourbon. Bottle, shared with BBGTC @ The Christmas Tasting 2014. Deep brown, near-black body with a large dark beige head. Aroma is bourbon, pepper, wood, soy sauce, alcohol, chocolate and hints of coffee and vanilla. Taste is chocolate, charcoal, ashes, coffee and hints of roasted bread, alcohol and cinnamon. Medium body and carbonation. Pretty nice, particularly the aroma, but a bit thin, alcoholic and roasty all in all.
