We had the Mikkeller yeast 2.0 Lager, Lambicus and Bruxellensis for comparison. Aroma is a promise of something good if you love lambic and geuze A hint of vinegar even. Fresh, much better than in yeast Bretanomyces Lambicus. The Lager yeast is not compatable for aroma as it is so different as it should be. Very nice taste and palate, but not quite on the same level with traditional ones from Pajottenland, Belgium.

Great funky nose, doughy and yeasty, cheesy, a little of hint of cinnamon and pie, baked fruits. Flavor is hard to describe, starts semi-sweet, lightly tart, leads to a more dry and surprisingly bitter finish, but not too bitter. Bitter enough to remind me of Orval. Notes includes funky cheese, grass. Light carbonic bite, light-medium mouthfeel. Cloudy orange-brown color, small head but good persistent lacing. On the whole just looks and tastes very primitive, somewhat how I imagine beer was 200+ years ago.

Bottle... Pours hazy and amber with a small, creamy, white head. Great retention. The aroma features breadiness, dust and pear. Medium to full-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor is bready, lightly tart and a hint citric with a yeasty, lightly bitter finish. Bottle courtesy of ctipping!

stale, earthy, hay and peach aromas on the nose. moderate body and carbonation, fruity, flinty, fairly pithy bitterness, complex, v easy drinking. A real display of what can bring to a beer.

The aroma is like that of champagne in many ways. It also has some apple notes. As I sip, I taste some caramel malt. The sourness is present but not overwhelming. A truly excellent beer!

Bottle: Hazy orange body, slightly soapy & foamy eggshell cap that fades to a collar quickly. Aroma of sweaty & tart peach notes, orange, moderately sour gooseberry, pineapple, a touch of barn-like funk, & a very light touch of malty sweetness hidden in the very back. Earthy & Brett forward flavor. Mild horsey funk... Very mild, but noticeable. Hints of peach, stone fruit, & slightly tart oranges. Although there is more balancing hoppy, earthy bitterness. Faint kiss of malt sugars with a gooseberry finish, a hint of Bretty cotton funk. Pretty nice.

Säuerlicher, dunkel malziger Antrunk. Zur Mitte hin etwas trocken, dumpf säuerlich. Süffig, leicht herb, zum Ende stärker. Das dunkle Malz bleibt, nett. 9/9/9/9/7/9

The best one. The funkiness and barnyard feeling is immediately there, the sourness is very reluctant. Not as sour as I had expected though. Probably the malts are too heavy compared to a real Lambic. This series was very interesting!
