330 ml bottle @ Konttori, Tampere. Pours a cloudy orange copper colour with a large white head. Aroma of grass, orange and hops. Flavour of strong grassy hops with floral notes, grains, pineapple and orange. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finishes bitter and fruity. Only slightly less bitter than the English Ale on this series.

Aroma is yeast toffee and old hops. Flavor is somewhat similar to nose, much more bitter than sweet; bitterness coming from probably the yeast or maybe the hops. Bodys affected by strong bitterness negatively. Medium length bitter finish.

Heller, leicht alkoholischer Antrunk. Trocken herb, geringfgig hopfig. Wenig wrzig, zunehmend bitter, erfrischend. Langer bitterer Nachhall. Rund. 11/11/11/11/7/11

bubbleflubber (2176) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - JUN 20, 2015
Pours hazy deep brick-amber into the glass, with a huge foamy head that leaves thick, chunky lacing. The nose is of caramel and toffee candies. Flavors are of caramel, biscuit, a touch of citrus peel and flour, and finishes with a lingering biscuit/flour. The mouthfeel is satiating with a medium body and smooth palate with soft carbonation. Decently complex, a nice example of lagering the brew in lieu of the other ale offerings in the series.

Cloudy yellow pour. Aroma of spice, yeast and apple. Taste is light, straw, yeast, citrus and spice. Very interesting. Not overwhelming but good. Would like to try others.

Keg at Brewdog Edinburgh. Pours amber, fizzier than the rest. Sweet toffee, again quite bitter.

Amber beer with a cream head. Spice and malt aroma with light mineral notes. Spice and mineral flavor with light woodsiness. Medium bodied. Spice and mineral lingers.

Beautiful hazy orange color with big stable head. Fruity hops and a bit of malty caramel. Hoppy bitter start and with a bready sweetness beneath. Bitter finish. Imperial Pilsner is the best-fitting name, and it is interesting. But the yeasts are really not distinct. Now Im really curious about the other bottles from this series.

12 oz. bottle shared with my wife from notes. Pours a hazy darker orange/golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus, pale, grainy malt, somewhat bready, lightly toasted, a splash of caramel, actually not to much more going on.

"First one tried, and I kinda liked it. Shows the quality of the brews that this ended up slightly in my least favorite position. Nothing wrong, just not as exciting as the others. Dark for a "pale lager" as advertised, and more heavily hopped. Yeast not very distinctive per se."
