Almost black beer with brown head. Aroma is alcohol, roasted malt. Taste is mix of roasted bread, orange and hops, also cocoa. Aftertaste is a bit sour orange and bitterness of roasted malt. Pretty heavily roasted beer, strong feelings in the mouth, alcohol too is all there. The beer full of tastes. Very interesting brew. Very good porter.

Tjära, syrlig espresso, choklad och soya finns också. Alla dofter går igen i smaken som först känns lite bränd men det avtar efterhand.

33 cl. bottle bb 04/07/2019. Deep ebony pour with a spongy disc of foam. Aroma is orange, molasses and a touch of chocolate. Flavors of molasses, white pepper, dark chocolate, dried grass and orange. Medium-plus bodied with medium carbonation and a nice balance. Good but the zest dampens the smoky char in the excellent base brew too much for my tastes.

tightslice (1380) - Redwood City, California, USA - JUN 9, 2017
Bottle from K&L in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is dark chocolate with candied orange peels. Taste is orange oil, orange bitters, cocoa. Appearance and mouthfeel here are incredible, very much black oil with an orange halo glow...but the flavors are not as deep as I’d hoped for.

W aromacie czekoladowo i kawowo z lekkim dodatkiem pomarańczy. Troszkę kakao również się pojawia. Piana trwałą, bladobeżowa. Zdecydowanie mocniej kawowe niż czekoladowe, odrobina pomarańczy. Lekkie, pije się szybko, odrobina paloności na podniebieniu.

Bottle from Kwiker Liquor enjoyed from Hampton Inn paper cup listening to a thunderstorm chase idiots off the beach. Pours out dark brown with a gravity defying brown head. Big aroma of dry cocoa and a hint of smoky, roasted malt. The flavor has espresso and a light bitterness like from orange pith or peel. Thats good porter.

Mishnok (355) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - APR 2, 2017
330nml bottle. Pours almost black with little head. Orange peel aroma. Decent body and taste of chocolate orange, mild roasted coffee and a hoppy aftertaste, but not bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle sample at a tasting at Lior’s place. Thanks Max. Opaque black with huge stable brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, orange and salted snack. Bitter and spicy flavor with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, sourish, orange peels, coffee, a bit smoked. Full-bodied. Nice.
