I thought this might end up being the second chocolate orange beer of the weekend but it really doesnt drink like that. The orange really is zest and the chocolate takes a back seat to caramel and licorice. Really different.

330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Pitch black color. Huge size, thick brown head, stays. Massive copper, roast, milky and yeast in aroma. Deep roast, milky, bit papery, copper and metallic hops in taste. Heavy roast and metallic hops in aftertaste. Roast is rough. Little bit messy.

330ml bottle (Pothouse, Tallinn)
Jet black, huge persistent tight bready tan head. Pleasant rich roasty aroma, some orangy citrus - dried sugared kumquat snacks. Very full palate, smooth, pleasant carbonation. Richer burntness in the taste, but no astringency, a nice level of sweetness. Pleasant bitter hint. Finnish has some more of the kumquat. Super solid porter.

Bottle from Uba ja Humal. BB 15.04.2017. Pours dark brown with a thick tan head. Good lace and retention. The aroma is dominated by roasted - no, burnt! - malts and orange peel, but its also leathery and pungent, balancing between freakishly good and something you wouldnt want in your mouth, but veering towards the former as it settles. Tastes very sweet with a good deal of bitterness. Dark chocolate with orange bits. Silky smooth mouthfeel, not too heavy, and moderate thin carbonation, which cuts nicely through the slight sludginess. Roasty dry in the finish - begging to be sipped again and again - together with the nearly extreme, resiny, oily bitterness, which becomes really, really harsh later on. Nice try, but I cant say Im overly hooked.

330ml brown bottle. Deep brown, large beige cap, the foam coasts the glass nicely. Nose has cocoa, orange peel and lime. Taste has chocolate/cocoa big orange zest with a pith bitterness. Chocolate and citrus peels lingering, body is medium and this is super drinkable.
