UPDATED: JUN 23, 2013 Ordered on draft at their taphouse in St Augustine, served in a pint glass. Red-copper color with light tan head. Aroma of caramel malt, some cocoa, some nuttiness and light earthy hops. Taste is the aroma, very light earthy hop bitterness for balance. Medium body, low carbonation, creamy with a clean finish. Pretty good.
Intense red-brown, clear; thin, bubbly head. Toast and triacle aroma. Molasses and medium roast up front, a little fishy, cherry notes. Woody bittering. The fishiness eventually turns into a flaw. Mouthfeel is slippery at first before, breaking a little fizzy. Medium body, not as acidic as lots of other reds. Somewhere between brown and a pale and an an amber. Proof Production Facility, tap. Tallahassee, Fl. - Fermentation Lounge - on tap. Dark brown pour, slightly murky with a medium thick off-white head, light lacing. Slight citrusy aroma, otherwise pretty neutral. Draft at brewery. Pours a very clear red with small white head. Not much lacing. Nose is a toffee and crusty bread character. Taste is similar with a touch if hop flavor. Not much bitterness. Dang if this isn’t the IPA with less hops and just a touch more malt. Decent red ale.

On draft at Mile Marker. Pours a amber-copper color with an off-white head. Nose is some sweet malt, some mild spice, and some nuts. Flavor is similar with some nutty and sweet caramel notes and mild bitterness. Pours ruby red. Aroma is a bit weak but sweet malts, caramel come through. Taste is spot on with nut skins, caramel malts and a touch of earthy hops to balance the sweetness. Medium body, creamy palate. The guys at the brewery are great and have brewed a really good red ale.
