On tap at Engine 15. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is faint roasted malt and dark fruit. Medium mouth with dark chocolate and light coconut, decent. hopscotch (11451) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 26, 2014
Growler... Pours clear and black with mahogany highlights and a small, creamy, mushroom-colored head. The subtle nose is faintly nutty, herbal and rooty. I’m picking up no coconut here. Medium to full-bodied with adequate carbonation. The flavor and finish are bland and nearly non-existent. No coconut and not much else either. Clean, but mostly flavorless. Perfect balance is all this has going for it - and sometimes that’s good enough, but not in this case. Growler courtesy of, well, growler! Fritz123 (1535) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - MAY 31, 2014
Draft at the tasting room. Small pour. Dark brown with a one finger head. Aroma was fairly muted with no coconut on the nose. Got some roasted malts is about it. Taste also was lacking the coconut but the dry roasted malts were fine. A little too thin and watery. But the flavor was OK. Roasted malt finish with medium carbonation. jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 3, 2013
on tap-tan ring-brown. A-none to start, as it warms some roasty med malt. T-cocoa/roasty-med malt, some earthy hops. Towards med body. beechner224 (1024) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - JUL 6, 2013
Aroma is mostly roasted malt, not much coconut. Pored dark brown with white head. Taste is mostly malt, no real coconut taste. Not much aftertaste, mouthfeel is light for a porter.

Tap at Engine 15 for 12 hours of RBWG. Pours a deeper black with good beige foam. Nose is muted but moves to a lot of intense licorice root. Taste is almost all licorice, black crayon, roasted malt, spicy ginger. Clean, but watery palate. No coconut character :( jbruner (5471) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - FEB 21, 2013
Pours a translucent brownish- black with thin tan film of a head and light lacing. Aroma is bready malts, soy, dark chocolate, sweet coconut. Taste follows, bittersweet finish, I want more coconut though. Decent, a little too thin on the mouth for me. Aurelius (5662) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Tangy, roasty aroma. Good growler, almost opaque root beer brown brew. Tangy to the point that it’s almost sour, mellow roast, dry first impression with a latent sweetness. Lightish body, mild roasted aftertaste. Thanks to LuckyDog. jjgmd (2295) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JAN 26, 2013
On tap at Tap 42, Ft Lauderdale. One other rating, yikes. The waitress actually brought out a carton of coconut water, ugh !!! Finally a dark brown black color in a snifter, no head. Nose is chocolate and malt but really no coconut. Taste is chocolate and malt with very subtle coconut. Taste is sweet, but really cannot find the coconut. Average at best. Quaff Score 6/ 10
