UPDATED: AUG 12, 2017 Cask @ Bree Louise. Dark reddish brown with no head. Malty and fruity tones. Malt, fruit, coffee, caramel and hops. Medium body with a bitter fruity finish. jjsint (3604) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2017
Handpull cask at the Fort St George, Cambridge. Black, opaque with a ring of khaki head. Sweet smell with notes of liquorice, coffee and rosewater. Taste is sweet as well although there are some over-roasted malts providing bitterness in the background. More bitterness in the long finish, with cooked vegetable and agave syrup notes in the aftertaste. Thin body for a porter. By no means perfect, but it’s perfectly drinkable. I’m quite fond. fonefan (52351) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JAN 2, 2017

21st Aug 2016: cask half-pint in ’Cobblers’ a micro bar in Filey, Yorkshire. Black bodied, lightly tanned head. Mild honey notes in both the nose and taste, almost hidden by the dark fruit and maltiness of the brew: one of the best beers I have had from Milestone so far.

Cask in Rotherham Wetherspoons. Mahogany with a cream head. Roast malt aroma with a bit of a chemical edge. The taste is coffee with fairly strong honey. The overall feel is a touch medicinal. Strong flavoured, but not great. theprof (1364) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2015
Cask. Aroma floral rather than cereal. Dark body tan cream head. The malts come through in the taste in a low key biscuit kind of way. Not sure where the honey went. Soft carbonation and some coating of the palate. But overall unassuming, if not bland.
