Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear, copper-gold witha moderate, white foam head. Bready malts in the nose with suggestions of ripe berries and other fruits. Medium sweet flavor with lots of bready malts, light toasty brown sugar, hints of caramel, berries. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with decent sweetness and mellow, leafy bitterness, some further toasted sugars, bread and caramel. Good and sessionable.
500ml bottle from Arrow Farm Shop near Worksop - Clear readdy amber body, no head. Rather flat body, didn’t help bring out the caramel and cake fruit notes. Sort of okay, but I’m sure in better nick it could notch a few more points. john44 (3111) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2017

Half pint, cask, served in a mug at Wm Hawkes. Yeah, it has got a dark ruby coloured body. Filmy layer, fair lacing. Brown malty smell, nutty. Brown malty flavours joined by moments of dried fruits. Malt bitterness to the ending. Satisfying (shared with Finn, Hull 26.11.2015). Finn (7547) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 5, 2015
