January 2017 - Bottle share at Leighton’s. Big thanks to Leighton for this one! As ’Mill Green IX Extra Jubilee Ale’. 10.6%, BB 2013. Very dark amber, translucent, foamy light brown head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is musty apple, chlorine swimming pool. Weird. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is sugary, toffee and apple, caramelised white sugar brittle. Tastes better than it smells. Has aged fairly well. (3.1)

Farewell Bespin Bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton. Clear amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Malts are light and sweet. A slight oxidised caramel streak works well here. Spicy dried fruits. Finishes dry with woody bitterness. Flavoursome.

33cl waxed bottle shares at Leighton’s. Many thanks to the host himself. It pours a clean golden color with a small white head. Aroma is fruity sweet with notes of caramel dust melon and must. Taste is also dusty musty sweet with notes of caramel and melon. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, interesting

Bottle shared in London - picked up at Pigs Ear, maybe. Pours an attractive clear copper with a frothy, off-white head. Musty English hops on the nose, leaves, dried grainy malts. Medium sweet flavour with some dried caramel character, old herbs, pine, English yeast, twigs, booze, leathery berries. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with loads of strong aged British beer character - you know what I mean - just lots of twigs, toasted caramel, dry bread, more berries, busty leaves. For what it is, it is exactly what you would think it would be.

25-MAR-2013, bottle @Papsø tasting. Almost clear orange body. Fruity, malty aroma with some tart notes. Bitter taste with a funny fruity, cheesy hoppy thing. Alcoholic. High carbonation, medium body. I do not like the bitterness here.
