Brigadier (3805) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - OCT 31, 2017
On tap at brewpub
I should have known better than to order a cucumber infused beer but for some reason I held out hope this was different. Instead the results are a strong vegetable infused beer that would have been richer as a regular old cream ale.

Aroma / Appearance - The coppery body filters out little light as it sparkles in the glass. White pillowy head dances upwards. Cucumber salad topped with leafy greens smell more like a garden salad than a beer despite the brightness.

Flavor / Palate - Lemons and cucumber take a few seconds to fully emerge then fade just as quickly. The mild finish leaves little impression on the palate. Whatever style this was attempting to be it simply winds up inventing a new one - "sessionable salad". Give it a pass in favor of more mundane styles unless you have exhausted the draft list.

gyllenbock (10315) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2017
Sample at SBWF 2017. Clear golden with a small head. On the sweet side with cucumber both in the aroma and taste. The body was light as was the bitterness.

2.3
TBone (18747) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 5, 2017
Can at SBWF. Pale clear yellow colour, not much head. Cucumber aroma. Light-bodied. Cucumber, some sweetness. Clean but dont mix cucumber with beer.

omhper (26061) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 5, 2017
Canned at SBWF. Clear pale golden, minimal head. Evident cucumber aroma. Sweetish with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lots of cucumber. Not much else. Slight grass and dough. Low bitterness.

4.3
FLBH (50) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2017
Keg at The Ginger Man. Pale gold with minimal head. Cucumber and gherkin aroma. Taste was subtle creamy cucumber. Very drinkable.

3.2
Ron (4294) - Rochester, New York, USA - OCT 2, 2017
Can poured in a pilsner glass. Golden pour with a large soapy foamy head that quickly dissipated. Yes, plenty of Cucumber here as advertised in both the armo and the flavor on a cream ale base.

3.4
trapped (3884) - New York, TURKEY - SEP 21, 2017
Can. Pours clear golden yellow with largish foamy white head, fresh cucumber aroma, high carbonation, malty taste with cucumber flavor, smooth body, long cucumber finish. Very interesting and refreshing brew.

3.2
SinH4 (6931) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - SEP 13, 2017
Can. Slightly hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is cucumber, hardly anything else. Taste is cucumber, and lots of it, maybe some straw as well. Silky mouthfeel. Works.

3.2
KyotoLefty (10931) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 3, 2017
Tap at Mama Lor's. Clear golden. Nose of cucumber, not pickles, and some corn, grain, cream. Bit of citrus. Creamy, light malt, cucumber flavor. Decently done, not pickle-like, but fresh cukes, and the cream ale character is also there. Don't care for this kind of thing in general, but well done.

3.2
BeerViking (5199) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2017
Can, hazy yellow-gold with a potential vegetal cucumber aroma. Tastes like a beery Pimms in an odd way. Weird but intriguing.
