COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We produce a traditional styled Irish Stout that is served using beer gas to produce that familiar creamy pour. Our black stout has a roasted malt flavour and a hint of toasted walnuts and choclate in the finish. Select imported hops are used to dry out the finish of this ale.

Nitro pour at Original Joe’s Varsity Row. Deep brownish black pour, thick creamy tan head. Chocolatey nose with coffee and roast. Taste is chocolate malt up front, roasty middle, mild coffee end. Smooth nitro body. Enjoyable, has the typical things I’m looking for in a dry stout.

Draft at the brewery. Black body, thick brown head. The aroma has smoked barley. The taste is smooth and not dry at all. Nice licorice finish.

Had in Whistler. Brown with a foamy, creamy head that has amazing retention. Slightly smoky nose. Taste is toasted malt. It's a little thin - so so. Guess I am used to imperial stouts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

De couleur noir avec beaucoup everfesssance et le col est moka. On n’a des de torrification et un peu moka . En bouche on reste sur notre soif car le gout n est pas aux rendez vous . C est fade comme gout même si c est stout dry . Un peu de gout

Draught at the Cider House. Pitch black, creamy white head. Extremely faint aroma of coffee and chocolate. Very faint roasted coffee and chocolate flavour, with some mineral notes. Pretty sure I’ve had this before, but I could swear it was better before. Tastes kinda like nothing.

Canette 473ml. Couleur noire opaque, mousse moka fuyante. Arôme métallique, mélasse, malt. Goût de mélasse, malt torréfié, amertume moyenne, pointe de café. Carbonatation très faible, corps faible.

On tap at local craft beer pub... this beer has a putrid aroma that carries over into the taste. Spoke to thr owner, he said that is what it is supposed to taste like. A poor example of the style. Perhaps the brewery is cutting corners since being bought out by inbev..? Not recommended.

Can. Nitrogen infused weak body makes for a poor drink. Quite insipid although there is a trace of maltiness. Pretty rubbish and certainly not what I would call a craft beer.

On draft at a restaurant in Whistler Village. Ordered this having been duped by the waiter into believing it was a local craft beer. Not local. Not craft. Not terrible but pretty average stout overall.

Keg at Mill St., Ottawa. Near black, mid sized head. Licorice and coffee up front. Dry with light-medium body and somewhat creamy rounded mouthfeel. Grainy licorice, coffee and spice. Long bitter finish.

Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - NOV 17, 2016
From a can the pour is highly foamy that slowly constructs into a 3 finger khaki head, that last more than 20 minutes, has a very fine definition, and making creamy lacing. Extremely thick and creamy, almost looks like marble stone! (no joke) The beer is dark brown, almost black, opaque with no visual activity. Dominant malty sugars, with soft leafy spices. Flavors of wood, oysters, roasted dark malts, faint coffee and chocolate, soft molasses and caramel, and some herbal spices. Oily medium body with soft carbonation. Medium strength finish, a little spicy and peppery, lingering smoked malts with a light earthy feel of walnuts. A little watery and flat, lacks body, carbonation, and intensity. Doesn?t feel very fresh like a bad English porter. The flavors are okay, but nothing special. Overall mediocre quality craft.
