Pours black with ruby tinges. Medium beige head that disappears quickly. Aroma of light coffee and malt. Taste is dark roasted coffee and roasted malts. Not overly sweet or bitter. Light body. Good coffee beer. GraffitiVandal (150) - Manitoba, CANADA - FEB 6, 2015
ENG: 341ml bottle from Liquor Mart Winnipeg. Poured into the tulip. Almost pitch black in color, with little red highlights, medium dark-beige head. Aromas of roasted coffee, maybe bit of chocolate. Taste of very dark coffee, very dark chocolate, quite dry - bitter, a bit alcoholic, a bit roasted caramels, malts, with soury-bittery aftertaste. Low to medium carbonation and medium body. Overall tastes more like an Imperial Stout to me, not a Porter, but it’s too weak for Imperial Stout too. Not bad beer but there was nothing special in it to be honest.vadie (1257) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 12, 2015
PL: Butelka 341ml kupiona w Liquor Mart w Winnipeg. Przelane do kieliszka. Niemal czarna barwa z lekkimi czerwonymi przebłyskami, średnia ciemno-beżowa piana. Aromaty palonej kawy, może nieco czekolady. W smaku bardzo gorzka czekolada, całkiem wytrawne, gorzkie, nieco alkoholu, nieco palonych karmeli, słody, posmak kwaśnawo-gorzki. Niskie do średniego nasycenie, średnie ciało.
Pours almost black with a little head. Not much lacing. The taste is of bitter coffee with sour notes that really through me. A little thinner than I had expected. Not as much Porter as I would have liked. Good beer though.

341ml bottle from the LCBO.Opaque black/brown body with a very thin tan head. Chocolate and espresso on the nose, some earthy qualities on the nose. Very oily in texture. Low bitterness and alcohol present. HippyHop (728) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 21, 2014
I actually had hope for this beer, given the its favourable scores here, but yet again I find myself underwhelmed by a Mill Street offering. It looks ok, though there’s no retention or lacing at all, so it could be a glass of coke. Nose is faint coffee and chocolate, and very little else. Taste is stale coffee and chocolate and watery. This tasted really watery to me. The finish is dryish, but in an acidic, almost sour kind of way. I’m really not sure what the fuss is about, nor am I sure why I keep trying Mill Street beers. Pours pitch black with very little head. The aroma has notes of coffee, chocolate, and dark roasted malt. Tasting notes include coffee, dark chocolate, and rich roasted malts. The body is full, and earthy. Nice porter!! Reimer96 (1778) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 16, 2014
Definitely one of the best beers brewed by millstreet... Pours an opaque black with a frothy brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, light chocolate and nuts. Taste is roasted malts, coffee that blends together nicely and has a smooth bitterness into the finish. Excellent porter! UXO (1896) - CANADA - AUG 25, 2014
Pours a deep cola brown with no head or lacing. Nose is muted, coffee and roasted grain. Taste follows suit, mild bitter coffee and nutty malt. Body tends to the thin side, with low carbonation and a medium dry bitter finish.
Not bad, but nothing thrilling - a moderate porter with a mild coffee edge. I was a little disappointed the airport brew pub didn’t have this on tap, but I have to assume they at least have decently new bottles of their own beer... Don’t I?
