Dry hopped and on cask at Volo cask days ramp up. Appearance: dark rusty orange with a small but lasting head. Aroma: bitter malt, damp wood. Flavour: nice muted dry malt, wood, a reasonable amount of hops in the finish. rejtable (2928) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 6, 2011
Great example of style. Good malty backing with a lasting bitterness. On tap from the brewery. patricks110 (2879) - Alberta, CANADA - MAY 26, 2012
Very bland overall. Pours out a beautiful light brown in the body with a thin beige head that dies quickly. Big carbonation lingers for a long time. The nose is sweet and lightly spiced with hints of lemon and big grainy malts. Hints of honey and light skunk with no chocolate but and off fruity flavor. Overall a light astringecy on the finish, but not much at all going on piscator34 (2697) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 9, 2009
On draft at Mill Street Brewpub. Deep amber in colour with medium carbonation. Fairly malty aromas along with notes of stewed berry fruit. More malt notes in the mouth, along with toffee, toasted nuts, more fruit, and a hint of grassy + earthy hops. Well balanced overall, with a fair bit of bitterness. A good effort, but plays a little too safe. markas101 (2563) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JUN 18, 2010
Cask, Mill Street Brewery, Toronto, ON, Canada. Light brown, citrus caramel aroma. Smooth with a lemon citrus burn at the back of the throat.

Growler from the brewery. Copper orange in colour with little head or lacing. Nice malty aroma with brown sugar and coffee. Tastes very much as it smells, with the addition of a lovely lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel is tinny and a little thin - not unusual for the style. Pretty good. I’ll get this one again. Cask at Vankleek Hill’s/Beau’s Oktoberfest. Dark orange, almost opaque. Short lasting white head. Taste is sweet, brown sugar, cereals, biscuit. Some English hops, light herb and earth. Somewhat long lasting bitterness. Light bodied, watery. I’ve had better. kevinsenn (2375) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - APR 13, 2012
On tap at Beertown (Hespeler). Dark amber and clear. Mild caramel and English hops aroma. Taste is toasty, slightly roasty, caramel, and nutty. There’s not enough hop presence for the style, and the finish is mildly bitter. There’s also a bit of "hay" towards the end, and it’s a little watery (but not too much). Carbonation seems high for the style. barncatmatt (2286) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 5, 2011
355ml bottle from Mill St. pours copper witha small white head, very little retention, no lacing. grainy slightly poopy malt nose. flavour of a mix bagofmalts either mashed to high or sparged to hot. astringent yet aqueous. i wont bother with this one again. mds (2256) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 7, 2007
Draught. Deep copper with a small white creamy head. Decent aroma consisting of orange, slightly buttery cereal, and fruity hops. Sharp and mildly bitter. Bready malt spine and generic hop characteristics. Somewhat forgetable in the end.
Tasted at the brewpub on January 5, 2007.
