Nice clear copper, foamy off white head fades. Grassy piney malty aroma. Caramel malt taste with a light bitterness, some fruit notes. Average carbonation, light bodied. Light bitter finish. LF (Lagerboy Friendly) sseb69 (2039) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 27, 2012
Bouteilel 355ml. 4.6%.
Served as a deep, coppery/red with golden lowlights under an ecru head settling to a watery film. Aromas are dry & lemony with orange rind and tea bitters. Quite aromatic, actually. Balanced flavor leaning towards bitterness, a bit like sucking on a full-flavored tea bag. Mid-bodied with a thinning sharpness and mild mineral notes in the finish. My wife says, "I could totally session this", and I agree.

Fresh sample from a growler. Thanks to my friend Adil. A hazed copper pour, with one finger of beige froth. Nose of toasty malts, fresh floral hops, some lemon, bread, cookie dough. Tastes of toasty sweet malts, nready, with zesty floral hops, a bit grassy too. Not really ESB like, more of a hoppy amber. Finishes with a nice lengthy bitterness. Good. Thanks Adil! tomthompson89 (1983) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 19, 2006

On tap from the MS pub:
Tapped a clear amber-orange with a decent cap.
Flavor profile: Pretty much a replica of the way it smells...a nice bready-caramel chew of malt blalanced well with a grassy-herbal hop profile...light bitter finish...not the intense bittering of a Brit ESB but very approachable and sessionable. worldbeertaste (1819) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2011
Copper colour with quick dissapearing head bubbly head. Caramel and roast smell with a light sulphur. Medium oily body long finish. Caramel, light berries, toffee, and a strage vegetable finish. Light roast. Strangebrewer (1398) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 31, 2012
bottle. Poured clear amber-orange with a very thin white head. The aroma is light with sweet caramel malt. Body is a bit fizzy, average. Flavour is nice with caramel, some nuttiness and a grassy hops note, but it’s just lacking something. WheatKing (1351) - Phnom Penh, CAMBODIA - APR 25, 2012
A keeper! I think I’ve been a little tough on these guys, but I always respect what they’re doing and here’s a good example that shows they know how to make great beer. Marris Otter shining through in this beautiful blend; if I bought this on tap in an English village I’d be pleased, it’s what a fine and dandy ESB should be. Surprised this isn’t one of their highest rated brews. mnurda (1327) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - APR 26, 2012
On tap at the brewery. My favourite of the sample tray. Great hops carbonation etc...
