Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouvermcberko (18429) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 14, 2015
Hazy dark amber color with small compact head. Egg and butter aroma. Weak mouthfeel, with a light puckery sourness, some spices, maybe light butter.
Odd, probably off.
On tap at St Augustine’s, pours a clear dark orange with a small beige head. Nose brings out lots of pumpkin spices, especially cinnamon. Flavour is massively spicy, with loads of cinnamon upfront, followed by nutmeg and pumpkin purée. Pretty standard pumpkin ale, with a light body and not a whole lot going on. Meh. A lightly hazed amber with a thin creamy off white head. In aroma, a cloying mix of butterscotch and pie spices, with ginger cloves and some spoiled meat notes. In mouth, a light watery spiced beer with ginger and cinnamon hearts, boring and plain. On tap at Ottawa location, Sept 26 2012. Sammy (12491) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 18, 2009
On-tap at the brewpub. Pours a thick looking orange, unfortunate that it was so freezing cold. The aroma is a bit of C-hop, but mostly ginger to me. Average mouthfeel, and above-average carbonation. Not as good when it warmed, a bit of pumpkin, corriander and a tad of white pepper, nutmeg. Not that drinkable. So-so for its style. jercraigs (10651) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 15, 2009
2009-10-13. Orange amber body with a modest beige head. 3+ Flavour is pleasant, mild sweet malt base, spices. Average plus bodied palate is nice but lightly carbonated. Would like just a bit more full bodied for my own tastes. 3+ Spices get a touch bitter at times, grows sharp briefly. Aroma is mild but pleasant, modest spice and muted malt. Pretty decent overall. On tap at the brewpub

Bottle (actually 3 bottles split 6 ways), the third in our lineup of beers for our little Falll Beer Fest. Medium orange, medium off white head. This beer has a relatively mild profile, with moderate pumpkin character and low spice. Not bad, but not a stand out. Better than the Oktoberfest brew in the same package. Clear amber- gold with a thick, frothy off-white head. Good-looking beer. The aroma is quite spicy with a warming mixture of allspice and nutmeg. Medium-bodied with a little bit of light sweetness. There is a little bit of ginger there as well. A bit of malt sweetness but the beer isn’t cloying at all. Ginger flavour is more apparent than it is in the aroma. A little bit of sweetness toward the finish. A pretty solid pumpkin beer - or at least pumpkin spice beer - I don’t get a ton of gourd in the flavour. czar (9250) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 22, 2012
pours cloudy dark amber with a decent white head, little retention and lacing. fruity - pumpkin, apricots, careful blend of spices, hint of acidity from wheat, earthiness, hint of sweetness, nuttiness. average to soft carbonation, medium body - oily, decent grassy-citrusy finish. decent spiced offering. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2009
[2530-20091013] Tap. A little grainy spice pumpkin fruit aroma, more as it warms. Clear, brown orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Lovely pumpkin pie crust and allspice, a little gingery pepper and hints of fruits. Medium body. Lovely brew, quite surprising.

Had a taste of this at the hostel where I was staying while on detox and it didn’t tempt me out of it. Pours orangy-red with ok head and lacing. Some pumpkin and some clove. Very malty. Palate very light, near non-existent. Finishes slightly sweet. Tasted at Mugshots.
