3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, from the 10th anniversary ampler pack: pours lightly hazed orangey-amber ale in the glass with a rich creamy 2 finger cap. Moderatey carbonated. Aroma is very interesting with the typical PacNW Cascade grapefruit rush but a demure sweetness and some exotic floral-fruit tones. Medium bodied hoppy character, Flavour has a big malt presence in the start but is quickly balanced with PacNW hopping, mid palate there is a bit of complexity then a long bittering citrus finish. I had previously tasted this on cask but this bottled version is quite rounded and tamed. A nice drinkable Pacific NW styled IPA and a great addition to Mill Street’s line up.
Enjoyed this a lot. Probably the hoppiest beer I’ve seen out of Mill Street. Robust pine and citrust presence. Taste doesn’t linger excessively. AleRider78 (1411) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 29, 2016
Pours a minimal size head and goes away quickly but leaves some sticky lacing. Has a pale copper appearance. Nice subtle hoppy aromas with some mild malts on the back end of things. Mostly floral hops. Pretty well balanced hops and malts flavours. Hops are fairly dominant but not too abundant and over the top. Just perfect. Has a tingly mouthfeel. Average retention and medium carbonation. Yeasty and malty thickness. Really good!

On tap at the Arrow and Loon. Golden with typical IPA grapefruit and conifer. tastes of same. Quite nice DerWeg (1702) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 12, 2014
Draught sample. Seems warm with alcohol and pale malt weight, lacking in hop flavour detail with straightforward mild citrus bitterness. Gold amber look. Hidden_Pooch (518) - Stratford, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - MAY 28, 2014
Bottle. Of the couple Mill Street IPA’s I have had they all seem a bit subdued. Like they are scared to show too much character. Not that this one is bad or anything, it is just lacking. It taste of light citrus, and resin and a pretty light malt flavour. Pretty low on the bitterness as well. She isn’t anything special.

On tap. somewhat cloudy brown or orange colour with a frothy head. Very hoppy aroma with hints of citrus and fruit juice that is balanced with caramel. Hoppy brew with loads of pinecone bitterness, fruity hops and a again that caramel backbone. Delicious. italarican (1549) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 23, 2013
On tap at the Ottawa brewpub. Medium hops presence with surprisingly heavy malt and cereal flavor. More malty than I’d expect in a IPA. solidfunk (9363) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JUN 30, 2013
Below average ipa. Pours clear orange with good lacing and some head. Aroma of malt and hops without distinguishing characteristic in hop variety. Average carbonation bitter finish. Tap at beerhall. HogTownHarry (7064) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - JUN 4, 2013
October 28, 2012 - 8th Annual Volo Cask Days. Looks great, slightly hazy coppery gold with an average frothy off-white head. initially smells pretty good - estery tropical fruit with light resin and citrus, but it has an emerging unpleasantness - went from 8- down to barely a 7. Taste is pretty good though, no let-down - a bit generic but lots of juicy tangerine, not a lot of alcohol. Light body, reasonably long bitter juicy/floral finish - one of the best by MS in a long time; not great, but good.
