Bottled. Sweet aroma with hints of toffee. Bronze hue with a frothy head. Malty start which then becomes an intense hoppy bitterness through to the finish. Medium palate. Good pilsner.
Keg at Mill St., Ottawa. Clear golden, small head. Fruity grassy nose. Mid dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Grainy, bready malt. Spicy grassy hops. Mid bitter finish. Ferris (15004) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 14, 2016
Draft - Nice grains with a touch of spice. Clear gold with a decent white head. Lots of grains and noble hop spice. Actually pretty solid. Tranquillity (2251) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 24, 2016
Draft. Clear light brown body. The aroma is good, the taste sweet. Overall quite balanced for a style that’s hard to perfect. Kauge (1928) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 20, 2015
Tap at the brewpub - admittedly, I did not take notes nor pay much attention to the beer. But to accompany a conversation and a burger it was very much alright, albeit a bit boring and non-memorable. Grassy, malty. Pretty nice lingering bitterness. Would probably like it more if unfiltered. AleRider78 (1046) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 16, 2015
First pint from a new keg (they had to change keg, so had to wait haha)Golden appearance. Barely any head. Good lacing. Aromas are escaping me at the moment, would say the hops are there, some grains. Some malts in flavour with weak spices, hints of cinnamon. Slight watery mouthfeel. Not much aftertaste. Pretty good on a hot day.

Despite the relatively mild colour of this beer, the bitterness of the hops was quite surprising. Althoug this may be an often enjoyed beer, it was not a personal favourite UXO (1896) - CANADA - NOV 3, 2014
Pours clear deep gold with one finger of white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, minimal lacing. (3/5) Nose is pale bready malt, light grassy hops. (6/10) Taste is mild sweet, moderate bitter. (6/10) Light body, moderate carbonation, long bitter finish. (3/5)
Bottom of the barrel - last one here, on tap or in bottles, that I haven’t tried. A fairly authentic, German-tasting pilsener. Which is to say, fairly boring. Although it’s a little dark for the style, which is fine by me, that’s not really enough to rescue it from the doldrums of mediocrity. (10/20) freretoc (1935) - Besançon, FRANCE - APR 28, 2014
Bu en bouteille de 33cl, bière ultra raffraichissante mais qui n’a rien de vraiment exceptionnelle dans mes souvenirs de voyage. RhetoricalAns (929) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 24, 2014
Draft. Golden body with a thin white head. Mild aroma of malt, some hops. Mainly a light malt taste with a mildly bitter finish. Quite refreshing. solidfunk (8838) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - FEB 21, 2014
Pretty good for style. Nice crisp malt with some evident saaz hops. Pours golden brown, darker than average for style. Slightly fizzy carbonation. Good balance. Finishes a little bitter as well with some light candied malt. On tap at brewpub.
