[5477-20130604] Tap. Light yeasty honey aroma. Clear, bright orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Bitter honeyed grains flavour. Medium body. Simple but interesting enough. (7/3/6/3/13) 3.2

2013-06-04. Crisp dark yellow body, small white head. Aroma is mild, lightly sweet, honey, muted pale malt. Flavour is sweet, good amount of honey over pale malt, light bitterness and very light grassy touches. Average bodied palate, fairly carbonated. Okay. On tap at C’est What

Poured a clear gold with a lasting offwhite head. Aromas of honey, graininess, bread and light fruittiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, honey and light graininess with a crisp finish.

Growler. Pale amber pour. The aroma is slightly spicy and a little bit salty with light honey notes. A dusty sort of aroma as well as a light sort of fruity note. A touch of light toast character. Okay but not great.

On tap at the Royal York Library Bar. Pours a clear golden colour with average-sized white head. Aroma is sweet honey and grains. Flavour fresh and sweet (but definitely not sickly) honey and light grains. Simple but clean and well made.

Draught sample at Chowder Chowdown event at the Royal York on Nov 2, 2011. Hard to believe I’m the one entering this beer given that it’s been available for almost a year - figured at least one of a local keeners would’ve been all over it. Nice golden colour with a small white head. Aroma and flavour are both as expected - i.e. pretty straightforward and well-balanced golden ale with a nice hint of honey. The sweetness is noticeable but moderate, with the grainy malt and slightly herbal hops ensure that the honey notes aren’t cloying. Not a style I usually gravitate towards, but this is quite decent - I even went back for a couple more samples.
