Missed this one last year and was sad, so this year (2013) jumped on it. Pours a hazy rich amber colour with a warm cap, decent retention and sloppy lace. Quite a spicy nose with cinnamon, cloves, ginger and some light nutmeg with the fruity malt. Amber base malt flavours with the spices a little more balanced, with some hints of maple syrup. A decent easy-drinking Christmas spiced beer. solidfunk (8838) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JAN 8, 2014
Not huge into this. Typical Gingerbread christmas ale. Some ginger, some nutneg and clove. Pours dark amber. Finishes sweet with ginger spice. Tap at arrow and loon. cfrancis (3405) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 28, 2013
Pours reddish copper with a small off white head. Aroma is honey, cinnamon and all spice. Taste is all spice, cinnamon with honey and bready malts. Lubiere (13770) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 17, 2013
A copper amber ale with a thin laciing off white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt, cloves, ginger, not bad. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel with loads of cardamom, ginger, cloves, banana and cream, decent. On tap at Ottawa location.
