Draught at the Black Frog, Vancouvermcberko (17830) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 29, 2014
Black color with creamy head; served with a mix of nitrogen. The vanilla come through as artificial, covering other beer characteristics (the ones eventually not killed yet by the nitro); the beer seems dry and a bit roasty; soft; not easy to detect some chocolate, but it’s there.
Smooth. Is this a porter?
440mL can, pours a deep dark brown with an amber tinge and a huge beige head that lingers forever. Aroma brings out lots of vanilla, maybe a bit of cocoa too. Flavour is smooth, bringing out vanilla and subtle cocoa as well. Body is very smooth, like a nitrogenated beer. Simple beer, but very drinkable and quite enjoyable. Good. jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 15, 2014
Can thanks to Chad. Pours brown with cream head. Nose and taste of vanilla, coffee creamer, vanilla latte and creamy white chocolate. Lighter body. Ferris (15275) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 11, 2013
Can - Cocoa and vanilla, with some roasted malts. As it warms, I smell gravy. Jet dark brown with a creamy beige head. Sickly sweet and artificial, very thin and just bad. Lubiere (13911) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 16, 2012
A dark reddish brown porter with a thin creamy milky brown head. In aroma, a sweet vanilla cream coffee, with light peated notes, and light boiled veggies. In mouth, a nice smooth bitter chocolate, light coffee grinds, a bit of vanilla beans, some light astringency in finale. On tap at Arrow and Loon, Jan 15 2011.

New England Bucket List Trip #143. Nitro at the Ottawa location. Pours a hazy brown with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, cigars. The taste is vanilla, chocolate, dark fruits, cherries, yogurt. Thin bodied. DuffMan (10433) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 19, 2013
Bottle sampled @ Edmonton Craft Beerfest. Medium brown, uniformly dense beige head. Low aroma of vanilla and sodium bicarbonate. Flavours of Kahlua, cocoa. Medium sweetness, medium bodied. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 18, 2009
2009-12-04. Dark brown-black body with a smooth creamy beige head. Flavour is quite prominently vanilla, with mocha undertones, light roast bitterness lingers with a light mocha-vanilla character that similarly lasts long into the aftertaste. 7+ Aroma is similarly vanilla filled, light roasty malt underneath. 7+ Average to medium bodied palate is creamy in a way that suggests nitrogen gas. Could be just a touch more full bodied for my liking to match the richness of the flavour. 3+ Pretty solid, though the vanilla gets to be a bit too much as the glass goes on for me personally. Pleasant nonetheless. Well done. On tap at brewpub, Toronto

Amber-brown pour; creamy, nitro head. The aroma is loaded with vanilla and a kiss of sweet brown malt. Not really toasty at all - just a smooth dark malt caramel sweetness overlaid by vanilla. Very creamy palate with a touch of light coffee flavour toward the finish. Quite a smooth drink really. A little bit too simple and sweet for me, but its well-crafted. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 9, 2010
[2660-20091214] Tap. Sweet vanilla extract syrup aroma with some chocolate roast milk malt notes. Clear, dark brown black body with a long-lasting creamy mocha head. Thick chocolate milk malt flavour is roasty with hints of vanilla. Medium-full body is smooth. Wow, really nicely balanced and creamy and toasty, it caught me on an I-love-porters day I think.
