First thing I noticed is that there is a f*ck ton of carbonation on this bottle. I poured like three sips and my glass completely filled up with foam. This worries me...Anyways. Aroma brings purely carbonated notes of vanilla, oak, toffee, very subtle barrel wood and wheat. Appears brownish black with a HUGE, MASSIVE foam to it. Taste really, seriously over- carbonated. Itís almost impossible to detect any actual taste that is not fizzy carbonation. Way past all the carbonation, I get chocolate, toffee, oak, bourbon, dark fruits, bourbon alcohol burn and Belgian yeast. Thatís all that comes through all this carbonation. Overall, huge disappointment. this seems like it could be really great but it is just so overly carbonated and it makes it so difficult to enjoy the bourbon and beer combo. Really sad about this one =/

Deep brown with a thick khaki head. Nose is wood, bourbon, alcohol, and dried fruits. Heavy carbonation, bourbon, bitter, alcohol, not much else

Iím not gonna waste a whole lotta time here, this was outrageously infected. The cap exploded off the bottle and tore a hole in the grocery bag holding it. A mountain of fizz poured across the floor. After leaving the half-empty bottle for an hour to settle, I decided to see if it was maybe just overcarbonated. Even that long sitting still, it poured 90% foam. Tasted hot and bacterial. Beware.

Dark brown pour. Fizzy tan head. Gushed a bit. Odd bourbon, molasses, Vegemite, prunes. Hard to tell if this might have a slight infection.

A very nice dark Belgian. Pours a deep black with a a bubbly tan head. Smells of herbs, like thyme, and Classic Belgian flavor. Taste is a lot of herbs, similar to the trader joes vintage ales, but more complex. However, we got a bottle as part of the healthy spirits bottling, and our bottle was definitely from the bottom of the barrel, lots of foam and sediment. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours black with a very foamy tan head. Aroma seems rather chili. Near full bodied. Flavor seems chocolate chili. Not excessively spicy. Hint of whisky.

Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours near black with a huge tan head and a treacle and pepper aroma. There is a full-bodied dark molasses flavor with some chocolate , chili pepper and whiskey. Interesting and tasty.
