Bottle pour into shaker pint glass. Aroma is strong bready lager malts with trace old bed sheet. Appearance is gorgeous clear, light copper with bountiful sparkle, finger-width off-white foamy head with fair retention and trace lacing. Taste is straightforward mildly sweet bready malt. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and sweet finish. Overall, absolutely no nuance but should you really expect it from a malt liquor? I’m embarrassed for myself but I think I have a soft spot for malt liquors... RDM1 (1) - Alabama, USA - JUL 3, 2016 does not count
One of the best ambers I have had in a long time. It’s hard to find in NC, Raleigh area.
Good job on this one! ThisWangsChung (836) - Leonardtown, Maryland, USA - JUN 1, 2016

A: Pours a clear amber color. The head is a little over one finger high, barely off-white in shade. Retention is surprisingly good for a BMC product, but not great. A modicum of lacing is left on the glass.
S: First whiff, it doesn’t smell bad...it just doesn’t have much of any smell. When it warms up slightly, there is a touch of noticeable caramel. Even some toasted malts! On the other hand, I do pick up some cereal grain and diacetyl typical of a BMC offering. By no means does it smell great (or even good, to be honest), but it could have been far, FAR worse.
T: The flavors are closer to a malt likka, but not a horrible malt likka. Notes of cheap white wine and cereal grain opens this up, while it finishes with a surprising amount of sweet caramel malt. It seems a little boozy for 6.9% on the aftertaste - as sugary as it is, it still doesn’t cover the alcohol very well. Some green apple appears when it warms, and that’s not a good thing.
M: The carbonation of this one is really fizzy, intense, even a bit harsh. This has always been my problem with Miller’s AAL’s - they genuinely don’t taste horrid, they just have ridiculous over-carbonation. At the end of the day, though, this has a bigger problem: it’s too sugary and under-attenuated.
O: This is kind of like a fancy pants, sofistimicated malt likka. While I’m not a fan, I honestly believe it exceeded my (hideously low) expectations. As an amber lager, though, it sucks. Even in the world of malt likkas, I’d rather drink Steel Reserve or Natty Daddy. Next!

Thin taste, not impressive except for the fact that it’ll get ya drunk in a hurry. If you and a buddy are low on cash and looking to get a serious buzz off a 12 pack, this is the beer for you. Packs a punch and goes down like the light beer swill it is. hotstuff (5141) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 13, 2016
Rated on 7-27-2015 (Bottle) The appearance is a small off-white head with a short retention, golden transparent body, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is malt as is the flavor. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is light bodied. Next!! Yased (243) - MEXICO - DEC 30, 2015
Strykzone (7305) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - DEC 12, 2015
12 ounce bottle. Tick hunting here. Clear deep golden with no carbonation visible. This is kind of like a Miller high gravity. A little fruit and at one point a hint of cinnamon. Some wood. Not really a lot of anything. Well, it is a tick! Radek Kliber (7320) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - NOV 20, 2015
Where and how: bottle, tasting
Aroma: medium intense, straight malty nose, fairly clean golden, biscuit malts. Hinted alcohol at finish.
Top: medium white cap that created decent lace on glass walls.
Base: clear amber
Palate : medium bodied, slightly chalky. Lighter carbonation. Faded quickly.
Taste: bland. Mild grainy malts with chewy texture. Mild alcohol accented finish. Overall alcohol was decently covered.
other notes very simple set up.
