UPDATED: JUL 13, 2003 This makes me wanna go out and watch NASCAR! Standard fakely carbonated corn water. Foamy aroma. Any hope of real flavor character is gone. Best to drink it really cold so it seems like a soda pop.

Better then Bud, or High life. If only the beer was as good as their commercials.

CapFlu (5128) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 30, 2002
One of the most commercialized beers with almost annual Hollywood facelifts. Typical American Standard beer: watery, flavourless skunkweed.

MGD is a decent beer. It’s better on draft, and it’s not a bad price usually at a bar. I like the texture of it but the aftertaste is rather nasty unless your faced.

Definitely my favorite below average beer! This is a decent keg beer to have at a party where you are drinking to get drunk. When I was in college, if they had a keg of MGD - you were having the creme de la creme of college party beer!

The worst of the Big 3 American standards. ..............................

When my father-in-law asks me "What should I buy for the party?", I tell him "MGD." These are the people who think Sam Adams Boston Lager is a "heavy" beer. I like it better than Bud, High Life, or Coors, though I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s the clear bottles. I’ll drink one or two, but usually switch to hard liquor asafp. It’s inexpensive. Unremarkable, but not repulsive. Good on a hot day.
