Pensez-y !

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2012
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy golden with an off-white head. Odd celery aroma, tart. Peppery? - not so much. Medium body, a tart fruitiness, spicy alright - almost perfumy. The tartness however is somewhat off-putting. 200612

Bottle.Murky golden orange, with a small off white head. Intense and herbal aroma of yeast, dough, wellworn socks, orangepeel, spice. Taste is sweet with pepper and lemon. light toasted malts, flowery hops, leading to a peppery, medium bitter finish. Very flavourfull, medium body.

330mL thanks to Travlr. Low haze golden with medium buttermilk head. Spotty lace. Estery, yeasty nose with kumquat and small pepper. Taste is quite odd. PEZ candy all the way, light tanginess. Lavender soap. Very bland overall. Watery finish. Soapy and dry. Eh.

Benzai (16708) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - MAY 25, 2012
33cl bottle @ home shared with my girlfriend. Hazy yellow color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell paint, something weird, herbs or spices. Taste malts, slightly fruity hints, herbs and spices, mint. Not as bad as the smell. Aftertaste is really weird again. Something hot, burning on my tongue, so probably some peppers. No, this is really weird stuff. Not my thing at all.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Fruity spicy nose with more muscot than pepper. Dryish soft and somewhat yeasty with tart, juicy tangerines and som white pepper. Low bitterness.

CloudyHead (60) - Brussels, BELGIUM - OCT 14, 2011
33cl bottle, pours a clouded orange/yellow. Spiciest smelling beer I’ve ever had. After the overpowering aroma, the flavors are surprisingly balanced, more spiced fruit than pure pepper, but still way too spiced for my taste. Pepper lingers in mouth and nose.

2.6
altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - OCT 12, 2011
Bottle at Place Luxembourg market. Murky orange body with big puffy head. Nose is spicy, herbal and sweet. Some rhubarb definitely in the house. Taste is fruits, spices, rhubarb again. Grassy and sweet. Not really my thing. A bit too tangy and sweet.
