I am quite impressed with this years beer. This version of Oktoberfest is very nice. I like the extra hop and the full body. I drank the first pint before I got sit down. I had to get another one so I could rate it. drowland (8676) - Georgia, USA - AUG 13, 2009
A bit hoppier than other versions (that’s America, baby!) that is emphasized by an obvious bitterness from the malts, topped off with hints of chocolates. Not bad! Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 18, 2009
Bottle courtesy of CanIhave4beers. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of caramel and light citrus. Tastes of caramel and earthy with a hint of bitterness and some touches of honey sweetness on the finish. daknole (11047) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - DEC 25, 2008
Bottle from pepsican. Thanks! Amber color, minimal head. Aroma has malt, caramel, light hops and some bready notes. Flavor is a bit sweet, smooth with bready malts, slight hops and would be a lot better if it werent for the crazy carbonation. Still a pretty decent brew. vyvvy (6460) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - OCT 9, 2008
Pours clear bronze with a bubbly tan head. The aroma has the sweet marzen malt with caramel and graham cracker along with some hazelnut. Medium body with way too much carbonation. The taste as sweet nutty caramel malt that is a bit medicinal. The finish adds phenolic spice. This is okay for the style, but it’s pretty boring.

I think this is the best Oktoberfest I’ve had this year!
This pours with a big fluffy white head that settles as a permanent swirl on top of the beer. The beer is a nice deep orange/amber. The aroma is lightly malty, and roasty with some even lighter hop notes.
The taste is more remarkable than the aroma, this has an amazing malt character that is not as aggressively sweet as some in this genre, it is largely dry and lightly grainy tasting, and the roastedness is very present and just sings with the nice fresh hop flavor.

Pour is lightly hazed reddish amber with a thin dense light brown head...smell is slightly sour with some old prunes and old bread....taste is grainy and sweet and has some cardboard flavor to it... Hudspart (538) - Byron Center, Michigan, USA - MAR 9, 2008
Sent to be several months ago in the micro-brew of the month club. One of the better marzens that I have had. Like typical marzens, clear and no head. Tasted very good though. dm9831 (1512) - Monee, Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2008
pours translucent brown without much of a head. aroma was sour fruit. tart fruity flavor, bubbly mouth feel and a touch bitter. JamesCrosson (36) - Fair Lawn, New Jersey, USA - JAN 9, 2008
Loved this brew. Could taste cherries in it. Deeeeeep red color, nice subtle flavors but smooth. Excellent for fall or winter.
