word. kinda chewy tangy flavor... interesting and offbeat. especially the weird floral aroma/flavor. wasnt expecting that. vyvvy (6574) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 16, 2006
Pour is dark brown with a reddish tint. Small head with absolutely no retention. Little carbonation. Aroma is light (no head to help with no aroma) - slightly sweet and roasted malt. Taste is roasted malts from the aroma with a bit of sweetness. Very light mouthfeel with no carbonation. Finish is lighty toasted malt. For something that is suppose to be an Octoberfest this is a poor representation. Not offensive, but very boring. jasonp (1581) - Ashburn, Virginia, USA - NOV 22, 2004
Sampled at the DC/MD/VA/WV/PA Ratebeer Gathering 11/20/04. Clear copper. Aroma is very lightly malty. Taste has notes of caramel, apple and some wheat. Extremely thin and watery. Overall, eh. MIBRomeo (2570) - Wisconsin, USA - DEC 19, 2004
pours a copperish color w/ a very whispy sparse white head. aroma was malty palate was . palate was a little watered down but smooth and lightly creamy. Flavor was very different definatelly malts and butter’d nuts overall though this beer seems much to watery.
Thanks to Heemer again :) Crosling (1864) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 4, 2005
Deep auburn color. Subtle nose which hints of butterscotch, caramel and currant, along with a touch of medicinal hops. Taste is not cloying, which I often find in this style, but not very substancial either. Light malt flavor. Boring, somewhat bland.

Well, rater #65. Poured a hazy, chunky amber, Tan head. Sweet aroma of caramel. There is something different about this brew, there is a sour-thick mouthfeel. No a real have again. Thanks to heemer for trading. thegreenrooster (4490) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 24, 2006
Pour is a dark red with a small white head. Aroma is lagery with a bit of caramel in there. Flavor is malty but dull all over. Really watery in the end and not a good rep of the style. holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 11, 2007
12 oz bottle thanks to Chris. Pours a brown red color with a beige head. Carmel toffee chocolate sweet nose. More carmels in the flavor, toffee, chocolate, banana. Overly sweet, kinda funky with a cloying finish. jbuzz (838) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 12, 2008
Single from Three Cellars. Nothing great here. A nice beer but that is about it. A little sweet light malts. blutt59 (6573) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 14, 2010
