(Bottle) Pours a lightly cloudy orange body with a descent rocky off-white head with excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel and light citrus. Flavor of pine and breadiness.
Had this several years ago, remember it as being middle of the road as far as APAs. Mildly malty and balanced by the hops, not a flavor blast, but while decent I can see why they don’t still make it. Styles (2014) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - AUG 24, 2010

Amber to orange with a thin off-white head, slowly fading. Aroma of citrus, sweet malt and lots of caramel. Taste of citrus, sweet malt and mild hops. Light palate that’s a bit vegetal. More like a watered down amber than an APA, but it was probably a bit old since it’s retired and hasn’t been rated in almost a year. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 21, 2008
Bottled. Poured just slightly hazy medium orange with a short, sticky, well-retained cap of beige head. The aroma picked up grapefruit, caramel, and fresh pine with a lovely balance to it.. quite fragrant and enticing. The flavor wasn’t far off.. caramel and grapefruit meat join up with a pinch of honey at the core.. light-to-moderate bitterness from pine, earth, and grapefruit.. sweet fruity finish stamped with pine bitters. Medium-bodied with rising bitterness toward the back of the palate.. a little rough on the finish with a dry and bitter feel.. otherwise flowed well. This could be a very good daily drinker.. bummer it’s apparently retired.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orangish amber color with a thin white head. Aroma of malt, hops and a touch of grapefruit. Taste is earthy and hoppy. Has a crisp, slightly bitter finish. ChainGangGuy (4918) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - DEC 24, 2007
Appearance: Pours a hazy, orange-amber body with a frothy white head.
Smell: Faint pale maltiness with hop citrus and some strong peppery notes.
Taste: Pale malts with a flash of toffee sweetness. Light citrus hop flavor, though not much bitterness ever presents itself. More pepper spiciness. Mild finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: So-so! Though, it’s one of those beers where one is enough. kp (10881) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - DEC 23, 2007

Pours a transparent orange amber with a thin wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet, grainy pale malt and a touch of piny hops. Body starts slightly sweet and earthy with some mildly resinous bittering and flavor hops toward a crisp, bittersweet finish. Pretty drinkable and well-balanced but not as assertive as some other APAs. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - DEC 2, 2007
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Brennan’s Country Farm Market in Brookfield, WI. Pours a semi-clear coppery amber brew with a thin and fast dissolving off-white head that has some lacing and a thin white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus zest, and a touch of apple skin. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of dry caramel malt, citrus and piney hops with a slight fruity background. Finish is slightly dry and bitter with a fruit aftertaste. Nice touch.
