I liked this a lot more than I expected. Brown color, initially a head that quickly fades to nothing. Aroma has sweet wheat and banana. Sweet beer, more banana and wheat flavor, lightly roasted, alcohol is hidden but there is a mineral quality and it seems very close to a German example.

Pretty okay weizenbock. A decent amount of the weizen spices and a sweeter than expected body.

Bottle. Reddish amber pour - doesn’t look very dense - has plenty of carbonation bubbles. Quite sweet - malt, dark fruit, mild banana, some booze. Okay.

jebert (500) - Watertown, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 15, 2013
Pours a reddish amber with a thin dissipating white head. Nose is caramel and honey. Very creamy texture and nice carbonation. Taste is sweet and full, notes of honey, clover, ginger, caramel and grain with just a kiss of hops on the finish. Very flavorful. An excellent weizenbock that pairs well with semi-soft cheese and crackers.

blipp (9502) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUN 30, 2013
Bottle. Pours orange amber with a thin head. Spicy and fruity, with a wheaty malty base, yeast, and medium sweetness throughout. A little bit on the boozy side, but not bad overall.
