The Crown, Nuneaton, 13/10/13- Team JV’s first appearance for quite some time. Handsome pale gold hugely capped with dense-lacing white. Nose good zest of lime, curry leaf, cats, sharper citrus- kumquat? Pillowed condition; decent red apple and lime notes; perfumed coriander and parsley-like citrus, some disinfectant and corn. Too much corn. mr_h (6106) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - APR 29, 2013

On cask at Brambles in Holmfirth - a pale body, white head. A bit of a grassy aroma, herbs and hops coming through too. Fresh taste, nice lasting finish, and one for a session... BargeElland (11) - West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 26, 2012
My favorite tipple that’s always on the bar. A very bitter but easy drinking pale ale that reminds me of the old Barge’s Best Bitter from years gone by oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUN 20, 2012

Cask at Pigs Ear. Hazy pale gold beer, little white head. Light dry palate. Very low carbonation. Very light pale malt and just a forensic amount of hop. Some floral notes rescue it a little but it’s bordering on insipid.
