Our award winning ale is a traditional sweet stout. Rolled oats bring out the flavor and richness. It is full bodied and a meal in itself.

On tap at Milly’s. The pour is very dark and almost black with a creamy, frothy tan head. The aroma is of oatmeal, hops, and malts. A heavy and creamy mouthfeel that gave me a tan moustache. The taste had a good level of hops and oatmel. It was smooth altogether.

Another good dark beer from Millys-. Pours a nice deep dark brown verging on black and a nice lasting head. Aroma id nice dark roasted barley- light coffee, dark chocolate sharp and bitter, almost a slight tartness. Flavor has more of that real acrid burnt malt almost a sharp acrid bitterness- roasted barely- coffee, and a light sweet caramel flavor. Finish is a bit too dry but still good.

On tap at Milly’s. Pours a jet black with a 1" creamy tan head. Fair amount of tan lace coats the glass. Mouthfeel is fantastic. Smooth and creamy, goes down like heaven. Aroma is light chocolate notes with malt. Sweet flavor with light chocolate, malts & molasses. Nice easy drinking stout.

Growler. Pours black with copious foam. Aroma is subtle tones of roasted malt, chocolate, and molasses. Flavor was of deeply roasted malt, and a slight finish of hops. A bit light and watery on the mouthfeel- good for sessioning but not nearly as rich as the style commands. Similar in many ways to their General Stark Porter.

Very Very Dark Beer. Great taste and amazing finish makes this my favorite beer at Milly’s (and I’ve tried them all). You have to be in the mood for a dark beer or else you may regret the decision to order one, but it is very good

Like all the Milly’s, a little thinner than the style might demand and a little lower in alcohol. This one had a great creamy widget / nitro mouth feel. Black with a tan head. Notes of coffee and chocolate. As all the others from Milly’s this could use a stronger malt presence.

Dark brown, creamy lingering non-nitro head. Deep earthy/chocolatey aroma. Some similar licorice notes as appear in the porter. Deep earthy malts, some light milk chocolate and deep bittersweet chocolate as well. Chocolatey finish. Not a great deal of oatmeal character, but it finishes bitter, roasty and quite tasty. No complaints here either.

Pint at the brewpub, the girl pouring this seemed to be having trouble as she didn’t seem like she knew how to pour a "Guinness"/nitro style beer like this. This beer doesn’t seem to be very popular, because it’s dark I imagine, but it’s good. Very rich and full of flavor,a little chocolate, roasted flavor and a touch of citrus hops in the finish. Nice body, creamy and slick. I’ll be enjoying this one again.

Poured a dark black/brown color with red highlights. Sizable foamy head, long lasting with lacing on the glass. Smooth, sweet, malty and nutty with a touch of hops. Slight hint of chocolate and coffee...a hefty, rich and dense brew. Pretty great, seems too good to be true, getting one of these for $1 during happy hour.

[tap @ Milly’s] Pours almost black, with a thick white head. Flavors are moderately sweet, with plenty of chocolate and roasted malt coming through. Full mouthfeel. A nice, well made stout.
