on tap-pours a foamy white head with hazy yellow/orange color. Aroma is sweet fruit, pleasant, refreshing. Taste is fruit, wheat, hops. Good carbonation. MartinT (10102) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 28, 2005
Splendid coriander milkiness and leafiness tower with aplomb over a quenchingly bitter wheat bite...Tart citrus fruit encourage the following flavorful gulps...A scrumptious unfiltered wit... ClarkVV (6893) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 14, 2005
Growler from Dirtymike at the 6/4/05 Mondial Gathering. Aroma of lemon, coriander, bubblegum and pils malt. Pretty aptly describes any Belgian wit, but this one was just so. Light, pale-white-gold color, hazy and with a thin white head, but some lacing. Dry coriander and plant stalks in the flavor, with a fresh green hops flavor that is unusual, but not unpleasant for the style. Dry wheat on the end and some bubblegum lingering. Lightly peppery carbonation, with large bubbles giving a fluffy texture. Medium to medium-light bodied. egajdzis (6776) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2009
Poured a hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of lavender, toast, coriander, honey, citrus fruits, and a bit of banana. Taste of citrus, tart wheat, a little sweeter toffee, coriander, and mild spices, with a dry finish. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 29, 2005
Cloudy light yellow. Superbly balanced aroma where the coriander takes the lead, but never obstructs the fresh, creamy malt and the generous citrus profile. The flavour could last a bit longer, but the balance is great, spiciness elevated just to th right level. Great malt base in here, wheaty, refreshing and delicate. Somehow crisp palate, a bit too bubbly for my liking, but this remains a top take on the style. Bravo!

New England Road Trip Easter ’05 with MartinT, tiggmtl and Rastacouere, beer #9. Small sample at the brewpub, also in the company of Volgon and brewer Dirtymike. Very light, opaque thick yellow with a strong lasting white head...light, sweet spicy nose by turns full of coriander, vanilla and lemon...light, dry body, very crisp, a little bland...nice full body, stinging pepper to finish. Not much of a fan of this style, but this is as well done as any brewpub version. tiggmtl (4543) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 31, 2005
Lemon citrus, lactic, creamy aroma with fair coriander/ nutmeg/bitter orange spiciness. Opaque yellow gold with fair white head that recedes to lasting cover with some nice lacing. Spices emerge in the crisp wheat flavour with a fair citrus-lemon character. Creamy texture and moderately strong carbonation. A decent example of a style that seems hard to nail. Sampled at the brewpub with dirtymike, MartinT, muzzlehatch, Rastacouere and Volgon. johnnnniee (4434) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Growler shared by someone tonight, thanks. OldGrowth (3665) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - JUN 8, 2005
Wow thats quite the crystal clear straw color. Light hints of lemon and coriander, watery thin body. I think this cleared too quickly and dropped most of the flavor. Meh!
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2005 4oz sample @ brewpub. Ok nose, citrus, lemon/orange. grass. Hazy yellow gold color. Bitter flavors, Lemon mainly, little tinny. Medium body, lite smooth mouthfeel, dry clean finish witha lingering sourness. Seemed good, though I’m not a Wit drinker generally. beerbuzzmontreal (3486) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 12, 2005
Pours a hazy yellow color with a ring of white lace. Aroma and flavor of wheat, spices and yeast. Light body, powdery texture, soft carbonation.
