Raspberry hefeweizen on tap at Millys. Pours a hazy yellow golden with a thin head. Aroma is yeasty hefe character with a mix of raspberry syrup- floral and almsot perfume-like with a lemon kick in there as well. Flavor is yeasty doughy, wheat, thin crackery malts, lemon zest and an off slick thin raspberry liquor. Meh.

Raspberry Hefeweizen-on tap-pours a white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is raspberry, perfumy, banana. Taste is raspberry, perfumy, banana, tangy wheat. A slight artificial/metallic comes through at back end.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2006 [cask @ the brewpub] My girlfriend said it "smells like a girl"- I agree. Sweet, almost clean, candy aroma. Taste is somewhat tart, finishing in an almost wit-like way. Mouthfeel is soft, with mild carbonation. An excellent, drinkable fruit beer.

The last person who had this is a dweeb. Milly’s raspberry ale is amazing! I like the reddish color and the smell...oh, I could spend all day smelling that. Maybe Yankee Candle could make a candle that was called "Milly’s Raspberry Ale Candle". Well, a girl can dream. The taste is just as amazing! Huge raspberry taste. Yum! Yum yum!

On tap at Milly’s Tavern. Nice clearish amber color with a huge huge HUGE raspberry aroma that borderlined on perfume-y. The taste was unsually tarty and not that raspberry-ish which was kind of a mild let down after the huge aroma. The aftertaste became a lingering nastiness that vaguely reminded me of cardboard. Maybe it was a bad batch?
