COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This rich brown porter was aged for one month in a Tennessee whiskey barrel. The combination of oak, whiskey and Brettanomyces make this a very complex offering.

Any first impressions?
-A veil of head covers a deep black gown with brown sleeves.
-Very complex aroma of fruity funk and whiskey barrel.
-Dominating fruity esters strive to evolve beyond grapes, blackberries and prunes.
-Quite carbonated and lean-bodied, thus eminently drinkable.

What if you dig deeper?
-A mild tartness links the fruitiness and whiskey barrel sweetness.
-The polite dosage of funkiness actually fits with all flavors.
-Roastiness and chocolate sweeten up the back.
-This porter has morphed into a totally different creature whose evolution would be fun to watch.

Sampled at Extreme Beer Fest 06.
