Cask at the Maypole. It pours hazy gold with with a small white head. The nose is earth, hay, apple, pear and candy. The taste is sweet pear, melon, apple, grain, light toast, spice, alcohol kick and wood. Medium body and soft carbonation. A bit sweet and the alcohol is pretty obvious for the abv. Sub-standard for Milton. fonefan (49584) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2011

Clear medium orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, fruity, candy, sweet tobacco. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, acrid bitter notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

On the plus side, there were plasicky bocky malt aromas, but on the minus side there was nail varnish too. Sweet floral perfume too. Dull gold, not much head. Body almost sickly sweet, and gets sweeter over time. Underattenuated for sure.
Cask (gravity dispense). Beer #17 at Cambridge Winter Beer Festival on 21 January 2011. Gold. Not much head. Decent enough condition. A bit too sweet. Some resinous hops. Rather under-attenuated impression with a slightly soapy feel on the palate. Not great. Maybe a bit green. Flagged for re-rate.

Cask. The Criterion, Leicester. Thin white head, rapidly dissipates. Orangey gold. Orangey citrus, peach aroma. Very bitter, with sweet notes. Dry finish. Leighton (21511) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 19, 2010
Cask at the Pembury Tavern. Pours clear gold with a light, white film. Nice hop aroma of grass, hay and faint grapefruit. Flavor is rather sweet, with meaty malts, toast, and some straw bitters. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and mild warmth. Finishes well balanced with some smoked meat, light honey malts and subtle, grassy hops. Quite a dynamic beer, really. Good stuff. Cask at Pembury Tavern, Hackney
Full malty ale, nice hoppy finish. Well composed and well balanced ale. Some fine fruitiness. Svesse (8615) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - DEC 14, 2007
(Cask at Pembury Tavern, Hackney, London, 28 Nov 2007) Copper colour with brief, white head. Fruity nose with citrus and fresh notes of floral hops. Fruity taste with notes of orange, apricots and fresh, floral hops in the finish. Not very bitter. Malty alcohol sweetness shines through. On the sweet side, but still nice.
