Melon and sweet citrus. Medium body with a mid and full bitter. Quite a tasty beer. tombyars (1683) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - FEB 12, 2012
Tasted this at the Paisley Beer Festival in April 2000. Cask, gravity dispense. Clear mahogany in colour with a loose white head. Strong over ripe banana aroma, long in intensity. Thick creamy mouthfeel and no lacing. Mixed complex malts give a juicy maltloaf base with rich, sweet creamy toffee pecan pie, mashed banana and maple syrup. There might have been a faint whiff of hop resins in the very brief aftertaste but heavy malt rule here. Finish is rich & heavy on the malt with almost alcoholic rum like notes tasting warming and sweet in the mouth. A superb new English Strong Ale, tasting far stronger and ABV suggests. Highly recommended in cask and worth seeking out. A very popular ale at the festival. SilkTork (5728) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAR 22, 2011
Gravity cask at White Cliffs/Dover Fest 2011. Perfume aroma - like a garden spray for bugs. hint of plastic and herb. Some bitterness. Doesn’t hold together. harrisoni (18436) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 4, 2011
Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2011. Very deep ruby colour with lasting beige head. Looks in good condition. Smells herby. Settles down a bit into a solid dark ale. Ends up ok with some raspberry and dark fruits. It got better. Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JAN 2, 2009
Cask at the White Lion, Norwich, "Boxing Day Expedition" crawl, 26th Dec 08. Amber. Honey, whisky and banana notes on the nose. Nice warmth at the finish.

On gravity at Swindon BF 30/10/08. Deep gold in colour with next to no head. Sweetish malt aroma with orange fruit, caramel and some spicy hops. Flavour was also sweet, with marmalade, fruit cake and grassy hops. A bit overpowering. leaparsons (10504) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2008
Cask, Burton Summer Fest 08. Golden with a thin head. Aromas are biscuit malts with lemon and some sourness. Floral with hints of metal. Flavours are honeyed sweetness and citrus ith grapefruit. Herbal with floral notes and some sourness. Svesse (8579) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - AUG 16, 2008
(Cask at Pembury Tavern, Hackney, London, 5 Aug 2008) Amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity nose with notes of mandarin, orange, apricots and fresh hops. Fruity taste with orange, mandarin and fres notes of citrussy hops in the finish. Nice strong ale with a lovely hop character. Doppelganger (1388) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - MAY 14, 2008
Gravity, Banbury beer festival. Bright gold, translucent white head. Black current, black berry, a bit of husky grain. Light marmalade and berry sweetness, a little thin for all the sweetness, and kind of hot. Not quite up to the usual standards for Milton.
I had this on the Thursday of the festival. I wonder if it settled down and mellowed by the time Fin and Glen had it? Have to find it again... imdownthepub (14468) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2008
Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’08. Copper gold with white head. Full with a strong alcohol note, heavy body with a slight roasted background. There is a dry fruitiness, almost apricot in the beer, as is usual with Milton beers, really well brewed to deliver the hop notes which were dry and spicy. Not bad at all.
