From the cask, a great session beer from the consistently excellent Milton brewery. On the nose light citrus & whopping barley. A lovely fresh pale start, leads to a full bitter finish with loads of fresh, rich barley on the finish. An excellent length on the finish for a beer of this strength.

CASK @ Oakdale Arms, Harringay London N4, on 3rd June 2009. Delicious refreshing session ale with a small diminishing white head, generous hoppy notes and fruity aroma, some nuttiness in the initial kick, and delicately hoppy dry finish. A smooth, slightly saline mouthfeel - this pint was Dionysus at its best.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2009 Cask @ Pembury Tavern, Hackney Straw coloured. Crystal clear with a tight white head. Apricot, peach and mango aromas, attractive hop burst on the tongue, lasting bitterness and a surprisingly strong finish for the ABV. Good.

Hazy blond color. Light malty aroma, with very light fruity hops. Fair malt and toffee flavor, good bitterness (lightly resinous), but missing some punch, the flavor seems flat.

Cask at the White Lion, Norwich, "Boxing Day Expedition" crawl, 26th Dec 08. Golden amber with no head. Honey sweet and then dry & floral at the finish. Standard weight. The hops get out onto the nose too. Nice and refreshing.

Cask. At the Pembury Tavern. Cloudy light amber pour with a small head. Floral aroma with very mild caramel malt and a hint of sourness - not a lot of grain here. The taste follows - dry, floral, light grain and a real lemony sourness that oddly seems to work pretty well. It felt slick on my palate, and the body seemed quite solid - while it wasn’t a particularly bitter finish, it really took its time, leaving a dry, acidic linger that made me quite thirsty for my next beer. A nice pint, for all that.

Cask @ Oakdale Arms, London.
Pours hazy golden with practically no head. Wonderful, crisp aroma, good pine, fresh malts and a little honey. Low carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour start malty, rather crisp, then gains a long, lingering, slightly dry hoppy aftertaste. Nice and drinkable.

Cask, Peterborough Fest 08. Golden and hazy with a thin head. Aromas are citrus and spices with hints of ginger. Flavours are dry and spicy with bitter grapefruit and lemon. An OK bitter.
