Naked, clear golden body. Grass-oily aroma. Plain fruity taste with dry hops, juicy malts and light bitterness coming along towards the ending. Easy going summer drink (Half pint, hand-pulled at Pembury Tavern, Hackney 12.08.2008).

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2011 Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A golden beer with an off-white coloured head. The aroma has some citrus notes and pineapple. Some hop bitterness on the taste but not enough character really.Score 3.2

Svesse (8692) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - DEC 14, 2007
(Cask at Pembury Tavern, Hackney, London, 28 Nov 2007) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit and fresh floral hops. Fruity taste with citrus and good amounts of fresh, floral hops in the finish. Fairly dry. Nice, but balanced, hop character.

anders37 (26841) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 4, 2007
Cask @ The Pembury Tavern, Hackney. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Fruity malty and hoppy aroma with some hints of citrus. Sweet malty fruity hoppy flavor with citrus hints. Malty and slightly hoppy bitter finish.

Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 21, 2007
Clear light golden. Herbal, lightly limey, certainly zesty aromatic hop nose. Easy-drinking and sessionable golden ale that appears quite flowery, very light bodied. Straight-on quaffer with no obtrusive points, but little character ultimately.

Gravity, Coalheavers Arms P’boro : Startlingly flavoursome considering the gravity. Pale, aromatic and interesting. Bold hoopy start with a malty finish

omhper (25375) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 28, 2007
Cask at Peterborough Beer Fest. Straw colour. Evidently grassy nose. Very dry with light buttery malm. A, well made, slimmed very drinkable session beer with a bitterish grassy finish.

FatPhil (16689) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 20, 2007
Draught (Cambridge Blue, Cambridge) Light gold, no head. Tinned asparagus aroma and caramelly malt. Some mushrooms and malt. Almost tinned tuna in places. Richly malted too. Anna says "tinned veg.".

3.5
Doppelganger (1388) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - JUL 22, 2007
Cask, Pembury Tavern. Fresh citrus aroma, cinnamon, musk. One of those beers that smell like something that would make nice soap. Mild sort of dull bell-toned hops give way to an incredibly delicious toasty note that lingers amazingly long. If the sort of muddled hop profile didn’t dull the stunning malt character, this would be something truely fine. And not bad as is.

3.2
chriso (7583) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2007
Cask, Pembury Tavern, Hackney. Pale yellow colour. Light citric notes throughout. Dry, slightly sharp mouthfeel. The body is, not surprisingly, quite light but this is a good, no-nonsense, refreshing, quaffing session beer in a fairly modern style. Obviously not just a one-off special, but whether it is now a permanent part of the range or an occasional brew I don’t know.
