The_Osprey (7881) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 27, 2017
Cask handpull at The Pembury Tavern as Milton Justinian. Pretty pale golden yellow, still and clear with a scummy off white head. Aroma is lemon and grapefruit, touch pissy. Body is quite light, smooth, soft carbonation - touch higher than normal for cask. Taste is very easy going with watery notes of straw, honey, dissolved sugars, touches of grapefruit and soap astringency in finish. Not far off being a good one but their Dionysus is a lot better.

Cask at the Red Lion, Birmingham. Supped during Leicester’s gritty victory over Watford.super smooth, honey glistened, lustrous mouthfeel. Some grain on the finish, but beforehand, all is lovely, with slooshy hops of fresh fields. Great stuff: genuine session.

Aroma: intense citrus fruits, grain, light bitter orange. Appearance: clear gold, small, white, frothy head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitters continue, citrus fruits again, oranges, grapefruit, fairly juicy. Overall: OK Bitter, nothing too special though. Pint at Bath Pavilion Beer and Cider Festival, Bath.

Cask @ NWAF ’14, Derby. Bright, clear yellow with a bit of swirly white head. Low aroma of straw, grass and malt. Pleasant sweet-fading-to-bitter taste. Bitter finish. Not one of Milton’s more exciting offerings but refreshing and drinkable.
