UPDATED: APR 19, 2007 Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF 2006. A hazy deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of berries, and light notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with quite strong notes of berries, leading to a dry woody finish. The body is no wonder thin.

Light-medium sweet flavor with nicely rounded toffee notes, suggestions pf butterscotch and creamy caramel, nice brown bread, mellow dried fruits, berries. Light bodied with fine carbonation; excellent condition. Nicely balanced with further dried berries, touches of leather, more toffee and brown bread. Well rounded with good depth for the ABV. Cask Conditioned at The Pembury Tavern, London
Hazy dark mahogany color. There is a light aroma of burnt malt. The mouthfeel is light, with flat caramel flavor, light chocolate, low bitterness and a light touch of burnt malt and paper. Nothing special.
